Phrase revival.

I have tried to revive several older words and phrases that have fallen out of common usage with mixed results.

This sort of thing interests me. Recycling old and obsolete words to give them new life is a great way to mess with people's heads. And recycling is good for the environment. :)

The phrase that I'm trying to revive now is "the bees' knees."

Any help or advice would be appreciated. :)

I used to say "deplorable dillitant" when refering to a "noob" on a video game. But I dont feel like joining your glorious campaign at the moment.

Please don't, anachronisms are only fun when no one else uses them.

My family has passed down the phrase "Holy Jumpins!" for generations now. You're not allowed to use itn until you're 21, but I tell you, when you get to 21, it's imprinted on your brain.

I'm rather taken with "mutton dressed as lamb."

*start rant* Adults should dress and act as adults and stop following teen fashions, damn it. You're 30 not 18. *end rant* ;)

This is a classic from a man who I considered my Grandfather.
