I was born in McAllen, Texas, not far from the Mexican border. I spent my formative years in Port Aransas, Texas, which gave me my accent (many people from the Northeast and Midwest). I moved around a lot, and finally ended up here in one of the many satellite towns of Houston. Sucky.

I used to, now I just laugh. I also get to make fun of all the Houston fans. All the detentions I got yelling at Astros fans was totally worth it.

Note: We're so small that the highlight of the Saturday night is going to Wal-mart. You will always meet other people there from town.

Lets see i'm from the United States.
Belgium, used to belong to various other nations including the netherlands till the early 1800's when they achieved their independance. One citizen set up his own kingdom in the Congo, killed a shite load of people was an all around Asshole. Belgium took the Congo away from him, made it a colony, Belgium became a major front in 1914 when the Germans initiated the Schlieffen plan and invaded (and apparently Indiana Jones fought for the Belgium Army). Belgium was quite again until 1940 when they became a speedbump to the german war machine in the Blitzkrieg across France. blah blah blah, Antwerp became a major Allied Port in our drive across France and Belgium. Bastogne was where the 101st Airborne Division held off the Germans until rescued by Patton's 3rd Army. Ummm Belgium Joined NATO post war and with Frances withdrawl from NATO in the 60's, NATO headquarters was moved from Paris, to Brussels, with the NATO Commander himself in Scheip(oddly enough, my uncle is in the army and worked in Scheip, now i probably didn't spell it right)
Half of Belgium is Flemish, Half is French.

Well actually I lived in Texas, but I lived in Naperville, which was like 40 minutes from Chicago. Only been to S. Illinois once, that was a road trip strait south to kentucky.
I worked in Naperville during the year I lived in chicago
If I remember correctly, my journey to work was the Lake Shore Drive south to some road that went under Wacker... then the Eisenhower Expy west to 88 South (something like that)
...company I worked for was called Newspaper Services of America. I used to love telling people I worked for NSA.
this is where i lived in chicago:
