I got a comment on my blog, and I am guessing vietnamese is the language it's written in...... I really have no clue. I can't find a translator online that will translate from veitnamese to english, and since I only know english, and some spanish, french and german, I am not really sure what it says at all. I am so curious as to what they said though
can anyone help?

Well, if you copy and paste it, I might be able to help with it if it's Vietnamese, or at least ID the language for you.

nope, that's exactly how it was, I copy pasted. I was kinda worried that it didn't say anything, but I googled it (or tried to) and found some pages with some of the words on them. weird right?
I think someone might be messing with me, knowing that I can't let stuff like this go........

I'll see if I can't get a hold of a friend of mine and see what she says, but yeah, handy Vietnamese-English dictionary will accept it, but comes out with some weird words. And usually Vietnamese has a lot of accent marks that are very important.

oh, well, they typed it just like that. I guess I might never know, I thought it looked weird without all the accents, but I didn't realize how important they are.
like I said I mostly stuck to the romance languages, once you learn one the others are quite easy. ;)

W-ell... no accent marks, so I'm guessing not Vietnamese. It's presumably a non-tonal yet isolating language from South East Asia, but I'm not sure I know of any  They're all either tonal or heavily agglutinative (e.g Malay).

that doesn't make any sense to me. It's possible that your translation is correct I suppose since people leave weird shit on my blog all the time anyway. ;)

I took 3 years of spanish and can only really remember a few actual phrases. the ones I use most often
"get off my lawn!"
"where are your parents?"
"how much does that cost?"
and the one I learned to upset my Spanish teacher
"Yo quiero quemar queso"
although I can understand a lot of spanish that is spoken, I can't really talk back.

yeah, I used to be able to say "I want to burn cheese on a wet dog, while listening to the polka" but I forgot the rest of the sentance.
If I was too high to remember things like that to say to her, I would just answer her questions in French, it was funny. :p
"Que hora es?"
"Il est duex heures"
"EN ESPANOL"
"en francias"
that's about the time her face would get really red and she would point me to the principals office:p

Could be worse, on Friday I went to my local post office to ship a package back home. The woman handed me a customs slip in both Japanese and French. The look on her face when I told her that French is not English was funny, it was a "There's a difference between them?" look.
Then she went on to explain everything, in Japanese.

my kid was bored in Spanish the other day and started to sign(asl) what the teacher was asking her, when the teacher said "this is a talking class" then Kathryn started talking to her in Klingon.
I thought it was hilarious, the teacher did not understand why though:rolleyes:
anyway, I had to explain to her (my 4 year old) why exactly she needed to actually pay attention in class and also that other people don't have our sense of humor.
it's kinda scary that she thinks almost exactly like I do, I got into so much trouble as a teen, I am scared to be her parent when she gets older.

I went to Lads and Lassies pre-school. IT was owned by some catholic irish lady. My only memory is getting smacked across the face with a large toy firetruck and some guy dressed up in a dog outfit that came to talk to us about drugs. I didnt even know what "mary-ja-wana" was when I was four...

I teach a group of 2 year olds on Thursdays, it's like a whole different world than dealing with my 2 year old, I have to talk to them completely differently, instead of "get ready for lunch" (which to my two year old means, pick up your toys, get your lunch box, wash your hands, and fix your cup) I have to go step by step with them, some of them don't even know how to get thier sandwich bags open:rolleyes: I suppose it's typical for 2 year olds, but it's kinda frustrating.
I keep having to remind myself "they are only 2, they are supposed to be like this"

yeah. I keep a list with me of "things 2 year olds can do" and refer to it often, I don't want to expect more out of these kids than what they can actually do (well, on average actually do) just because my kid is advanced, believe me I have no clue how they got this advanced, I just talk to them all the time, that's all I can really figure out, people keep telling me to write a book, I can tell you all I do "talk to them a lot, and read to them constantly" that's really all, it's some weird genius gene they have or something.
