Neo Kervoskia and I were debating on AIM over milk. Obviously skim is the superior kind, but he prefers 2%. I know I'm right and I think you'll agree, unless you're a 2%er!

When it comes to regular milk, its 2% for me, although I'll drink 1% without complaining. Chocolate milk is my preference overall though.

I hate all sorts of pasturized dairy products. I honestly do drink it "Straight from the udder :rolleyes:" well, its actually a vat, so its from the udder, to a vat, to a jar, to my mouth, to my belly.

I'm all about "whole" (4%) milk.

My husband and I have an ongoing debate. I say skim milk is "white water" - you may as well just have water - it tastes like it anyway. He says whole milk is "chunky" milk and you have to chew it to get it down - it's just too thick.

And chocolate milk is good, but it needs to be made from 4% milk or it just is chocolate water. Most store-bought chocolate milk is made from skim milk and just doesn't have enough milk-fat or chocolate in it to be even drinkable.

Man, that sounds heavenly. Even better, why not just make it cocoa - and by cocoa I don't mean dinky mix packets you drop into hot water. I mean boiled milk with cocoa powder and sugar... and whipped cream or marshmellows. But it HAS to be made with 4% milk - or more cream, even.

Between Skim and 2%, I always take 2%. The added milkfat gives it that much more flavor, and it helps your muscles grow, too.

However, aside from the two choices, my favorite's always been Whole Milk.

the kids prefer soy milk though. it's sweeter.

I will probably switch us all to 2% soon though, although I will still have to buy whole milk for my hubby.

We drink 1% or 2% if we can't get 1%. Skim has no taste, it's cloudy water that a cow was somewhere in the vicinity of.

I like skim, powdered, 1%, flavored (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, banana, etc.), soy, and almond milk. Something really nice is what I call "doublemilk" -- a half-cup of powdered milk dissolved in 16oz of skim milk. :)

I can drink 2%, but it's not my favorite.

I don't like whole milk very much, but it's still better than our well-water.

I feel that I am qualified to voice my position on this argument. First off, there is no such thing as Soy milk. As Lewis Black said, that's because there is no soy teat. That stuff is soy juice. Secondly, I worked on a dairy farm for years, and after what I've seen, I'll tell you that I'll NEVER drink unpasteurized milk. Ever. Finally, I drink 1% because I drink too much milk,and it's a little cheaper than 2% or whole milk around here. However, I refuse to drink skim milk, as it's too watered down for my taste. If I can't get 1% milk, I upgrade to 2% (in the single serving size, I try to get whole milk though).

i have to concur,i despise milk...yeeecccckkk(plus i am allergic to it)

although,like shrimp and shellfish(which i am also allergic too..boo)i do drink milk on occasion...but only chocalate milk..cause plain milk is gross,as opposed to shellfish which i love.
i had snow crab last night,turned all red and damn near choked to death...but sooo worth it..lol
