Animal Crossing is one of the funnest games that I've ever played.
If anyone has it, wanna trade friend codes?

I'd offer you my friend code, but I HAD been doing time on my friend's DS and I haven't seen him in like, two weeks.
I don't think it's the best game ever, not by a long shot. But when you're at a coffee shop/bar and your friends aren't due for another half hour, it's a pretty passable way to pass the time without getting hit on by the patrons who don't realize you're a regular.

yeah, i know what you mean. but i never said that it was the best game ever, and it ain't by a longshot. it's aimed towards 6 year olds or whatever, and i'm definitely not six. i just think that's a fun game to play, especially in my situation, with nothing else to do but study for exams.

Yeah, that's why I'm kinda glad I didn't buy myself a DS. Or a PSP. I have enough distractions in my life to want those on top of it all.
As for it being aimed at 6 year olds....I don't believe a 6 year old is entitled to that good of entertainment. I grew up with a goddamn Intellivision, so it really kind of offends my sensibility that kids get these super cool things at an age that they don't even appreciate the value behind it.....*sigh* I'm totally dating myself here. Fecking 80's.

I have Call of Duty 2. I'm not so keen on it, but thanks for the suggestion.

How can you not like it?
It's possible to dislike things XxxMenxxX does not.

I mean, it's good and all, but in terms of what I like video games for -- and that's passing the time without realizing how much has passed, usually while waiting for my friends or boyfriend to get off work or whatnot on my days off -- it doesn't work so well. It's just not as easy for me to fall into it and disregard whatever else is going on. Animal Crossing, despite being inane and childish, is the kind of thing that if you play it for an hour, you're suddenly like "Oh shit, really? An hour?"

i guess, i usually only play one mission at a time, but then again i have other things to do.

Yeah, that's the downside right now -- school's out until next month, I'm cut down to only 35 hours a week, and I really don't have a lot to work on around the house. My life, since about January 3, has been a veritable video game or tv-induced stupor.

Im still hooked on Tony Hawks American Wasteland so any other games will have to wait.
