Do you agree with me? Do you hate it when big companies and governmetns change things just so they dont offend a small minority? Ex: At christmas outside of many stores the greeters said "Happy Holidays" insted of "Merry Christmas" WHY THE **** IS THAT NECESSARY???????

I think political correctness is great. For too long many diverse groups, like the differently-abled, those of a non-traditional sexual orientation, People of color, and other valuable diverse people have found themselves oppressed. Now by using different names for them we can empower them to realize their potential as human beings.

Yay political correctness! It lets us offer a helping hand to those who have, through no fault of their own, been victimized by evil straight white christian men without having to actually do anything.

I'm not sure exactly how many ways you have been wrong in this very short post. I'll try to count, but I'm sure I'll miss some.

A) Happy Holidays has been the public phrase for years.
B) It is not to avoid offending minorities, it is to court dollars.
C) You desperatly need valium if this upsets you.
D) You need to stop watching Bill O'Reilly and his counterparts now for the sake of your emotional stability.
E) The government has nothing to do with it.
F) To ask "why is this necessary?" indicates that it is an undue burden. How much easier is "happy holidays" than even "merry christmas and a happy new year?" Why is it necessary to specify one holiday to the exclusion of the others is the more appropriate question because happy holidays is the easier solution, not the necessary one.

Yeah. Traditions should never be meddled with. Times was I could manage my family as I saw fit. If I needed a little extra money, I could sell one of my kids to a rich family. Now that's just not PC anymore. "your children are not your property" they tell me. Well I made them, whose property are they then? I want the money, they want the kid, but some prissy liberals find the idea of selling humans offensive so I'm not allowed to do it. Next thing you know I won't be able to sell my wife's sexual favors. We need to get the nanny state off our backs. :D
