does anybody know this guy? he seems to have patented all kinds of solar powered inventions including huge air cleaning, energy generating convection towers, he was once the CEO of Sunspring Inc., which somehow fusioned with Maxam to build a desalinization plant in yuma based on one of prueitts revolutionary patents, the maxam stock does not seem to be worth a lot anymore (MXAM.PK). sunspring inc was bought up by sun power copr (SPWR) and its stock has gone up quite a bit in recent months.
this dr. prueitt is now working on a new kind of solar heat generator called suncone for barnabus energy inc (BBSE.OB) and last year he said he was on schedule for completing a working prototype until january 31st, now i am not sure if i should buy some BBSE.OB, the stock seems to be quite volatile.
do you know more about dr. prueitt? is he a newage cleanenergy dreaming kook, who just burns cash on unmarkatable gimmicks or is there something real to be expected?

Eh.. A desalinization plant in Yuma? Last I checked, the Colorado was a freshwater river.. no need for much of that.. although, I haven't been through Yuma in like 3 years, so...

Yes, and there's not much left of the Colorado River by the time it reaches Mexico. A trickle, if anything.

More water in a desert area is always a good thing for people living there.

the us government built a desalination plant for $256m ages ago as part of an agreement with mexico, they desalinate the colorado river before it flows into mexico, so mexican farmers can use the water for farming. i dont know if that plant is still running, i read it has operating costs of $30m/a, but that does not really help me with my investmentdecision :-/

I'm no expert, but my gut says desalinization plants belong near bodies of salt water.. just a thought, if you're looking for a return on that investment.
