Life is Worth Losing

That's the name of George Carlin's new album. I just bought it a couple days ago.

About seven minutes into the album, I had to pause it while I caught my breath. That's how hard I was laughing.

The album is a bit dark. He touches on all the human foibles that amuse him most; murder, genocide, necrophilia, torture, autoerotic asphyxia and especially suicide.

Really funny stuff though.

"Should have I?" The next person to say the New Zealand education system is not collapsing in on itself, I will quote this to.

He's an NCEA pleb. Any of us who finished in 2003 or before are ok.

Ahem.. I'm tired and don't care. Our education is fine, my use of it is not.

I won't call him a pioneer, because his inspiration was Lenny Bruce. However, I'll say that he has been the standard bearer for stand-up comedy for the last 30 years.

Never heard of this guy.

Honestly... I'm ruling everything that ever is, was, and will be and you ask me to listen to comedy?

(It actually doesn't sound too bad, though... ;))

His major claim to fame was starring as "Rufus" in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure." Also, that "Wonderful Wino" thing.

He was recently hospitalized too. There's a statement about it on his website.

Sources, sources, must have sources. Everybody go out and look for sources. I may even get off my lazy butt to look too.

A lung infection and a narrowed arrtery. He had an angioplasty and will be taking some time off before he resumes touring.

George Carlin rocks. The only comedian who makes me laugh more (and harder) is Lewis Black.

Black, Carlin, and Rock are my top 3, in that order. All three of them have stopped my breathing. :p

Anybody read his book "When will Jesus bring the Pork Chops"? It had it's moments, but I don't think it was as good as Napalm and Silly Putty or Brain Droppings. I think he wasted too much time analysing the language with all those sections on euphamisms.

I liked all three, but I think Napalm was my favorite.

I liked the irony of his portrayal of a cardinal in Dogma.

Also, I saw him live last Summer, manoman, that was a blast.
