The Kinsey scale was designed by Alfred Kinsey (I think that was his name) to measure a person's sexuality. It went from 0 to 6, with 0 being extremely heterosexual, and 6 extremely homosexual. It viewed sexuality as having a wide range of possibilities, and not an either/neither/or type of thing.

So where do you fall? If your number isn't up there, put whichever you think you're closest to. I put numbers close to the extremes but not at the extremes to accomodate those who are almost but not quite at the extremes.

I think I'm a 1. I'm strictly heterossexual and couldn't imagine having sex with a person of the same sex, but I'm totally confortable with homossexuality and have no homophobia whatsoever. Also, it's my belief that everyone has the right to procure sexual pleasure in the manner that one desires, given that respect for others is observed and upheld.

I'm a 6. I try my best not to be heterophobic, but it's tough at times.

I don't know. I guess 0. I just don't see why anybody would be turned on by a man.

i should think i'd be about a 2 or 3. i can see the attractiveness in some guys, but am not really attracted to them... and the idea of a gay relationship or gay sex just doesn't turn me on in the slightest (in fact, for me, the idea is kinda nasty). ergo: mostly straight.

I've actually drifted as I got older. I started out about a 3, and I'm probably closer to 1 now.

I'll split the difference and say I'm a 2.

I took two tests based on the Kinsey scale that I found by googling. I got 3 and 4, respectively, but I'm not sure how accurate the results are, to be truthful. Like, one question, "What is your favourite type of porn?", I answered gay/lesbian porn... The thing of it is, though, that I'm just a chick who likes to watch guys together...

Right, I guess I should have said there's no official test, i.e. Kinsey came up only with the scale, not with any "test" to go with it. As for how accurate the tests are that are out there, I'd leave that to everybody's imagination.

Well on that 'okcupid.com' test with 5 questions I scored a 2. I can't seem to find any other tests. Probably not looking hard enough but I'm too tired.

It's strange, having to take an internet test to see if you like boys or girls.
