That's right, it's a sex thread. So ladies and gentlemen of NSGeneral, what makes a good lover?

Is it purely physical? As in (ladies and gays) does a bigger penis automatically equate to better sex? (assuming you don't reach the point where it's too big to go in, if that's even possible)

Will the longest tongue/highest rate of lollipop consumption necessarily result in the best oral?

Where do you stand on experience versus imagination? If you were simply looking to have the noisiest night of your life, would you go with a virgin with an active imagination and an "anything once" attitude or a more experienced, but set in their ways, lover?

Can casual sex ever be as good as sex in a stable, loving relationship? In general terms, which is better? What about the extremes? Anyway... I don't think a bigger penis automatically equals better sex. Below a certain length (about 5.5 - 6 inches), it doesn't hit the ol' prostate too often, but aside from that, I don't think size matters a great deal. When it comes to oral, I prefer not to go above about 7.5 inches, because it's difficult to keep my gag reflex in check if it's too big. I can (and will) still give it a shot, but taking the entire length is probably out of the question.

Skill and practice makes the best oral. Being the same sex helps too, I say. Only someone with the same bits will know just how someone with those bits likes it. ;) Purely opinion, of course.

Hmmm I'd say guys with big tools definitely turn me on more...not sure how that would work in practice though :p If I could get a relatively open-minded, good-looking partner, I see no reason for sex not to be as good as one-night stands. It's highly individual. What is a great lover to one person could well be a crap one to another.

Personally speaking, I'd like someone who is adventurous. Experience is unimportant, but imagination is. Penis size isn't really a big deal to me; there are plenty of positions that can minimise the effect of an extra-large member, and plenty that can maximise the effect of a small one.

That is the common assumption. Not having had oral sex with someone of the same sex, I would have made the same assumption, but...

My wife is the best at it that I could ever imagine. And I did have a couple experiences before marriage with a woman who was the worst (but thought she was all that and a bag of chips!), and one who was inexperienced and afraid of semen but gave it a try anyway.

That's why it's so important to keep regular breaks... well, now and then, when your teachers let you, that is.

As I touched upon in my "Love” section of my post, the emotional component of sex could be extended to a "fuck buddy" if you have trained yourself to connect with virtually anyone on that level.

While that's true, the direction I was going with the question was really just "person you have sex with". Could be either. Plus, using fuck buddy would not have made the mods happy, and one of them would have stepped in to change it to something ridiculously lame.

I think a good lover needs to be willing to take his or her partner's sexual desires into consideration. Size isn't always important although in some cases a larger size can be nice. I think it's more important to "go the distance". In other words, make sure your partner is satisfied before rolling over. Hint: two minutes is not long enough!

I also think a good partner should be creative, open-minded and confident. You must be present in every moment of the making of the sex. notice everything - do what you think will feel good and gague their reaction. Some guys seem to think they just need to put tool D into slot P (or A), release the pressure valve and as long as it felt good to the giver then it was good lovin'. No - you take note of what your partner likes most of all and do all you can keep them loving it (from my male on female perspective, you should make sure that your partner reaches orgasm first - personally I do this orally because I'm a master at it :p ). Can casual sex ever be as good as sex in a stable, loving relationship? I'd say it would probably be better, but that's my opinion. This is because I'm more likely to ask for what I want and say what I don't want in a casual sex environment as opposed to in a relationship. Ideally when I'm in a relationship, we'd both be completely satisfied, but that's unlikely, as I'm set in my ways and I doubt I'd find someone who is either completely willing to accomodate me or set in their ways in a compatible way. It's quite easy to find someone who is compatible for a night or ten, though.
