I have battled my whole life with my feelings about religion.

I can't believe in things I don't know in my heart for sure are real.:headbang:

And yet I know in my heart God does exist.

That being said I cannot buy into all these stories in the Bible about God doing so many bad things."The story of Job being one such lie".

It is so vain of the people of the earth to think that God just gave conscienceness to us and not many worlds in the Universe.

The mere size of the Universe " For Every grain of sand on the beaches of the world there are a million stars in heaven" leads anyone with any common sense to know in their hearts others in the universe have self realization and conscienceness.

That is so immense i cannot even imagine it in my mind.

Man needed God and still does need God but conformed him to something to be feared and flawed.

That is NOT my God.

My God snapped his fingers and made the Universe.

My God is not flawed or bad in any way.

My God put us all into pristine worlds and left it up to us to make our own choices how we treat each other and how we treat our world.

My God is a God of Honesty and Truth.

When I die I will blend back into the Universe from whence I came.

I will be glad I was here, but I also will be glad to be home. :)

Good for you.

But did you really need to post that here.

I predict a riot...

Wait, no I don't...

I MEAN A FLAME WAR!

EDIT: And in future, I mean to spell "mean" correctly... :(

Quick, possibly trivial questions.

How do you know that the God you know in your heart and the God you attest to creating the universe are one and the same? Isn't that a link made solely through your previous experience of human religious organisations?

I have made no claims of not being influenced by religions.

I'm sure I have been.

But I would have found my god with or without them.

How do I know the God in my heart is the same God that made the universe.

The same way I know my kids love me.

I'm not trying to influence you one way or the other about your belief or non belief.

I need to believe and I cannot accept the fact that a God powerfull enough to create the Universe is flawed.

What if the universe is actually the particles that make up some alien's dog excrement? You'd be worshipping a very large bitch in heat.
