Is the true test of a president's worth his taste in music?

Or even his lack of any taste in music?
Consider this: the evil liberal swine Carter had all manner of musicians through the White House (Willie Nixon has bragged in interviews about having to climb onto the roof in order to spliff up when he was there), the evil liberal swine Clinton flirted with the same approach (and bullied Fleetwood Mac into reforming* for his inaguaration), and even Bush's old man patronised a few R&B singers, receiving a painted guitar for his pains. Reagan went on record a few times with hilarious misprisions about Springsteen, but I'm unsure whether or not he actually booked anybody to play a concert at the White House (perhaps somebody could clear this up for me? For all I know the fact that his wife was being swived by Sinatra soured him on the idea...)
Yet Bush junior seems to have done nothing of the sort. Apart from a magazine piece about the contents of his iPod, nary a word has ever been breathed. Did anybody play at his inaugaration? If so, who was it? (Given that this was in 2000, it's hard to shake off the image of Britney Spears jumping out of a cake, but that's probably just me.)
Anyone care to discuss this, or does it seem a bit too Nick Hornby?

*(Unless you're the sort of blue purist who refuses to accept that any band that doesn't involve Peter Green could ever be considered Fleetwood Mac, in which case, Clinton didn't.)

Well, Carter sucked as a president while Clinton was good. Nixon sucked while Reagan was good, so it's not decisive.

Was Nixon into bluegrass, or is that apocryphal?

Willie Nixon? Who's that? That country singer formerly known as Willie Nelson, maybe?

And how come none of our modern Presidents like classical music?

Not populist enough?

Who was that presidential candidate in 2000 - was it Bush? - who aid they liked the Beatles, but not their later 'weird' stuff?

Gotta love the Cure...... I would love to see Robert Smith perform from the Rose Garden of the White House..... that would be absolutely amazing...
