BROOKLYN: A high school assignment to research and write about Internet pornography was canceled after parents complained, the school's superintendent said.

The 14- and 15-year-old students at Brooklyn High School, outside of Cleveland, Ohio, were asked to research pornography on the Internet and list eight facts about it. They were also asked to write about their personal view toward the subject and their experience with it.;)

Superintendent Jeff Lampert said that although teacher Scott Gioia's apparent goal to discuss the harmful effects of pornography was well-intentioned, he agreed with parents that the assignment was inappropriate for students.

Lampert said he doubted Gioia, who has been at the school for five years, would face punishment. After he began getting calls Wednesday, Lampert met with the principal and Gioia, a health and physical education teacher, and they decided to drop the project.

I don't think you need to tell 14-15 year olds to look at porn though the excuses would be priceless:D

How do you convincingly develop a character and then change it to "OMG SMUTTY 20 MINUTE SEX SCENE" without ruining the story in the first place?

I can only see it working up to a certain point, i.e. I've often thought when watching a non-porn movie with a really good love/sex scene "See, this is the way porn should be like - I'm turned on just by watching them make out a little with their clothes on, so wouldn't it be great if porn was like that, just that, instead of the fade-out, we get to see what happens next?" Now, "making out a little with their clothes on" is NOT hot/sexy in a porn movie, because it's just a stupid set-up where the guy entered the scene 4.3 seconds earlier delivering a pizza. In a non-porn movie, you get all the flirtation, chemistry, horniness etc. of the characters, so when they end up making out it actually is hot.
But yeah, while I can totally imagine a movie where making out a little with their clothes on would turn into an "OMG SMUTTY 20 MINUTE SEX SCENE", repeatedly so. But in order for the characters/story to be compelling, there'd have to be parts in between the sex that obviously would have to be longer than in your usual porn movie.
So, like I said, I would watch it, but I doubt most guys would, seeing as I'm pretty sure they already fast-forward to the action as it is.
