Well, it's a new semester, and based on my life mission to inform total internet strangers about my personal life, I have decided to tell you about my new classes, and my reaction to the first week of them. It should be a doozy this year...

FSC 211- Principles of Food Science (Fantastic Class, great people, great prof, great material, probably my favorite)

HNF 150- Intro to Human Nutrition (Was replacement for lab Astronomy class. I've only been to one, and I'm still not sure about it)

IAH 201- US and the World (Should be interesting, sorta political, but more cultural)

ISS 225- Power, Authority, and Exchange (Odd class, covers relationship between Capitalism and Democracy. I should fit right in)

Well, do I have good classes? Or should I just go and throw myself into the Red Ceder?

Well, my classes--those I'm teaching, that is--are two sections of Composition 2 (we're dealing with the idea of transformation while discussing essays from Percy, Gladwell, Lessig, Berger, and Kimmelman, among others) and two sections of Interpretation of Poetry (and we'll be all over the map on that one).

That I am--an Instructor in the English department of an unnamed (for my protection) Florida university. And I most definitely love my job.

What's an interrobang, if you don't mind my asking?

Really? I don't mean to pry, or sound like a stalker, but is this Florida University a Major one? I plan on transferring to UF sometime next year.

Hmmm. A major one? I suppose that's a matter of opinion. It's not UF or FSU, if that's what you're asking, but it's a sizable part of the UF system, and it's a rapidly growing part of that system.

And thanks for the link--interesting stuff, that.

I'm not really sure yet, as this was only the first week of class. But just skimming the textbook (63 bucks!) tells me that lots of molecules and reactions and stuff will be involved.
