Socialist representation in America

I would like to obtain some infomation from some Americans on here. What (if any) Socialist politcial representation is there in America? And what form does it take?

Actually, there are half-a-dozen pro-socialism organization in the US. I'd suggest you get a list of the Presidential Candidates for the last election - there were at least six.

Of course, you should also realise that there is virtually no support for most socialist concepts in the US. Many people believe we've already gone too far.

None, really. It is a two party system. Occasionally a third party will win a local race, but there isn't really a national socilist presence.....unless you count "compassionate conservatives" and "progressive liberals."

Don't even try, political action is of no use, your 'socialist' representatives will, once elected, become part of the system he wishes to change, for the first few months/years he will keep his ideals, but in time he will get desillusioned because of all the other people makeing it hard to make any real change. At that point he will either get out of politics or just keep in and enjoy his comfy chair while keeping up the apparence of being progressive and combattive.

Are you talking about representation in the political sphere, or simply organizations that seem to represent the core of the socialist message?
