Thoughts on the NFL Playoff

Ok, since the Brits didn't like us hijacking their thread, heres a thread about the NFL Playoffs.

I mainly follow Carolina. I don't care about any other team lol.

Carolina next game is against the Bear. While in the regular season the Bear have beaten the Panthers, that was a diffrent team back then. This time the Bear will be up against some tough defense. Not only that, I think the Bear has a rookie QB, so we'll see. I think Carolina will win that game by 3 points or less. However, the Bear will not make as many miskate as the Giants has, but I think we'll see a good game there.

Eh, the Colts always seem to fumble the most critial game, so we'll see. Also, they've been running at full steam all season long, they got to be getting tired now.

I have 2 long shot bets going... from 4 a month ago

#1 A wild car team will win the SuperBowl.
#2 The Panthers will win it all.

If the Panthers win I stand to make some big sweet money...

First of all I would like to say that the Steelers did not beat the true bengals. That little cheap hit in the beginning that took out Carson Palmer gave the game to the Steelers. Instead the Bengals were forced to play with Jon Kitna who completely sucks. If Carson Palmer was not injured by that late hit the Bengals would have won. I see the Colts crushing the Steelers (unless they take out Peyton Manning with a cheap shot). I see the Superbowl being Colts vs. Panthers also. It could've been the Bengals. The Steelers are going to be crushed next year when Palmer comes back!!!

Denver will beat the patriots. Denver or the colts for the AFC. Seattle will beat Washington. The Panthers may beat the Bears. Seattle will win the NFC championship. Neither of the three NFC teams can beat Seattle at the moment. I predict Seattle over either Denver or Indy in the Superbowl.

Bears vs. Pats would be cool, but the bears have been playing crap teams so they'll probably lose to the panthers

I dunno, in 2003 everyone thought the Eagles would crush the Panthers. But in the first Quater, the Panthers took out The Eagles QB, and the rest was history. I think the Panthers will try to take out Seattle important players too.

Thank God...that British jack-rabbit was on my last nerve!!!

Ok, first, the re-cap! The 4 winners of wild card weekend are:

Carolina
Pittsburgh
Washington
New England

Next 4 games will be:

Skins - Hawks
Patriots - Broncos
Panthers - Bears
Steelers - Colts

There's no in-depth, scientific analysis behind my Super Bowl picks nor am I relying too much on statistics! I'm just being an opinionated loud mouth! With that said, here I go!

I'm sick of seeing New England in the Super Bowl, therefore, scratch em'!
Colts always seem to choke at this crucial stage of the game...scratch em'!
Bears? Just don't see it happening! Scratch em'!
Steelers? Can't fathom that one either! Scratch em'!

That puts Denver in the Super Bowl for the AFC. Now, to shorten this post (and because I haven't the slightest clue about the other 3 NFC teams) I'm just gonna' go with Washington.

So there you have it folks...Broncos vs. Redskins in the Super Bowl!!!

The 'Skins don't have the offense to compete with the other NFC teams. If they win, it'll be out of luck, because it has been the defense that has saved their asses. Without those turnovers they would've lost. The upper level teams are far less prone to mistakes. The Redskins COULD win this next game, but I guarantee they do not make it the Super Bowl.

In the AFC both the Pats and the Steelers are underdogs. I predict one upset, but not in both. The Pats have the the better chance at beating the Broncos than the Steelers have at beating the Colts.

Next week, the conference games will be:

Patriots or Broncos at Indianapolis, and
Bears or Panthers at Seattle.

To play it on the safe side, I'll say a Colts vs. 'Hawks Super Bowl.

However, there is an outside chance we will see a Pats-Bears rematch 20 years after the Bears' last victory in the Bowl. The Patriots are looking to be the first team to three-peat. This is the game I direly hope for, because it'll be a vicious one.
