Did anyone watch the new Simpsons espisode last night? What was the point of Grandpa Simpson for switching the stickers on the swabs?
To keep Homer happy, especially after he saw how happy he was with his "real" dad
Oh yeah, now THAT's service! :D

The Simpsons hasn't been really good for years. And it must be lots of years, because I watch it on British Channel 4. We get reruns from about 5 years ago, I swear.

It was a wierd episode... as if they had a whole new team of writers. I kinda enjoyed some difference as it was refreshing but it was also a bit wierd and nto all that funny.
But yeah they did explain the switching of the swabs thing.

I think The Simpsons has gone downhill.
I stopped watching mid-way though the season after Homer went into orbit aboard the space shuttle.
It's been downhill for so long the topography has flatlined.

Yes, they did explain it.
When?
When?
Near the end... Are you missing something up there? :p
But yeah, this episode felt "different". It was a lot better than any episode in recent memory, but it just didn't feel quite right. If it keeps going in this direction, though, it'll be great again.

Exactly! The Simpsons have been going down the toilet for the past 3 or 4 years. I don't even watch the new episodes anymore. They just plain suck.

You'd think the cartoontist would've at least drawn the other guy to resemble something to Homer.

I think we'll have to see actual episodes before we believe that for sure.

You'd think the cartoontist would've at least drawn the other guy to resemble something to Homer.the part about switching labels wouldn't have made sense if Abe didn't already know he was Homer's real father
