Just wondered if people out their had thoughts about

A) Who's going to make it to the Playoffs in the first place

B) Who's going to be Preimiership next season

I'm hoping Crystal Palace and at present we are doing quite well

Ok, first, the re-cap! The 4 winners of wild card weekend are:

Carolina
Pittsburgh
Washington
New England

Next 4 games will be:

Skins - Hawks
Patriots - Broncos
Panthers - Bears
Steelers - Colts

There's no in-depth, scientific analysis behind my Super Bowl picks nor am I relying too much on statistics! I'm just being an opinionated loud mouth! With that said, here I go!

I'm sick of seeing New England in the Super Bowl, therefore, scratch em'!
Colts always seem to choke at this crucial stage of the game...scratch em'!
Bears? Just don't see it happening! Scratch em'!
Steelers? Can't fathom that one either! Scratch em'!

That puts Denver in the Super Bowl for the AFC. Now, to shorten this post (and because I haven't the slightest clue about the other 3 NFC teams) I'm just gonna' go with Washington.

So there you have it folks...Broncos vs. Redskins in the Super Bowl!!!

That Pittsburg game was a real fight and in my opinion they're going to carry that into next week. The Colts are cold and coming in 1-2 into the playoffs. Pittsburg is going to take that game.

The New England/Bronco game is going to be a great game.

Superbowl prediction: Broncos v Seahawks
My Superbowl wish: Steelers v Bears

Playoffs of the British Priemer league in FOOTBALL! Did you not notice that I said "I hope Crystal Palace make it through" and the word "Preimership"

The whole opening thread had only 4 lines. It wouldnt take very long to read.

Well the fact that at least two Americans cant be bothered to read a four line thread opener properly doesnt help the case for Americans being any less stupid

At the moment, Reading (69) and Sheffield United (62) are leading.
Leeds (51), Watford (46), Crystal Palace (44) and Preston (41) round off the next 4.

7th to 12th are on 39 to 38 points.

Oh yes, go Leeds.

How does that make them stupid? Inconsiderate, perhaps, but if they read it and then decided not to care, that doesn't imply stupidity at all.

Distinct possiblity, but a thread normally takes a vague direction before being Hijacked. These two clowns were the first and second posters.

Stupidity for assuming we were talking about the American game of football where you very rarely kick the ball when it clearly mentions teams that arnt there. Granted it could be lack of consideration, but thats distinctly less likely. I'd prefer to think of them as stupid over plain nasty

In all fairness, there is a tendency for American football fans to assume that any discussion of football, especially around playoff time, involves the NFL. The rest of the world doesn't exist for them.

How about this: I saw the thread title, "thoughts for the playoffs". Considering our football just entered the playoffs this past weekend, I immediately began formulating thoughts to post. I immediately hit reply. I started to type my post, then I noticed your post complaining about people talking about the NFL playoffs rather than Premeirship playoffs. See the easy confusion?

Perhaps next time you could make your thread less ambiguous.

You'd better hope Reading (69) and Sheffield United (62) trip up soon.
They have 11 point lead over Leeds United already, and 18 over Palace.

And in every single NFL thread a dozen or so non-Americans find it necessary to post about soccer, usually maliciously, so I find it difficult to feel bad when the reverse happens.

I was just responding to the poster above me. Call it retaliation for all the American Football league threads that have been hijacked by: "Your football isn't football!"

Then to immediatly jump to the conclusion that we're stupid just demonstrates a good portion of your character. Two sports with the same name and one sport just started it's playoffs. I am wrong for jumping to such a hasty conclusion, but certainly not stupid for it.

I hope Palace go up, although I am a Tranmere supporter I used to live in Purley and used to go to many games at Selhurst park, but I like palace, mostly because the fans made us poor losers (away fans) feel good, and there is a few good pubs around there, (don't ask me the name, as I said they were good pubs :p)

Not really easy

Had you read the whole thread opener (which wasnt that long) you would have seen the word "Premiership" and "Crystal Palace"

Starts singing:

BEAR DOWN CHICAGO BEARS!!!
Let every play pave the way to victory.
Bear down Chicago Bears
put up a fight with your might so fearlessly

We'll Never forget the way you thrilled the nation
with your T-formation
Bear down Chicago Bears
Show the world why you're wearing the crown
You're the pride and joy of Illinois
Chicago Bears, bear down.

Thank you!!! I really don't give a damn about football in any other country! And the fact that I had no idea what the hell "Premiership" or "Crystal Palace" was played a big part in why I replied as I did! I read the post! I just figured you were using some sort of weird, California style jargon I had never heard!
Forgive me for not knowing (or caring) about British sports! I was simply trying to make small talk! I had no idea it would offend someone to the point of resorting to name calling! Stupid? Clown? WTF??? Sorry for having offended thee, Lord Adriatitca! Jeez, ever consider medication for Bi-Polar disorder?

I mainly follow Carolina. I don't care about any other team lol.

Carolina next game is against the Bear. While in the regular season the Bear have beaten the Panthers, that was a diffrent team back then. This time the Bear will be up against some tough defense. Not only that, I think the Bear has a rookie QB, so we'll see. I think Carolina will win that game by 3 points or less. However, the Bear will not make as many miskate as the Giants has, but I think we'll see a good game there.

For the Super Bowl

Well if you didnt know what the word was, the logical thing to do would have been to not post. Or to post, asking what exactly I was talking about. Of course I forgive you for not knowing about British sports, but I think you should know enough about your own sports to know that Crystal palace is not in your team listings, or that it is called the NFL and not the premiership. The fact that you read it and paid no attention is even more ignorent

Ok, see, I tried to be nice but now you've managed to piss me off! What entity or deity appointed you God? Who the hell are you to judge me and call me names? Like I said, I figured you were talking some sort of surfer jargon! It's not unheard of for someone to give their own name to a familiar term! Premiership could have very well meant Super Bowl and, for some ungodly reason unknown to me, Crystal Palace may have been a name you decided to give one of the NFL teams! Just figured maybe you were a burnt out California stoner being grammatically creative! Kind of like if I call you a donkey, a Richard, or a taco; all of which apply quite nicely!
