Favorite brands? Unknown brands? Ways to get it cold fast? Favorite style? Places to drink? drinking games? Music to drink to? Let everyone know.

I'll start. First of all, Blackbeard Ale, made by the Virgin Islands Brewing Co. It is a bit stronger than I was expecting, but pretty damn good. I definatly suggest you pick some up. Doesn't hurt that the bottle caps have little skulls and crossbones on them

And secondly, some of you may have seen the mythbusters where they try to cool beer fast. I had a warm beer, so decided to try the ice and salt water. In under 10 minutes of it sitting in the salt water and ice solution, outside the fridge, the beer is nice and cold. Works great.

My beer is Flensburger Pilsener, but then again, I haven't had it for years. But the bottles remain the best ever. Plop!

And a fun fact is the trick where you get one bottle of beer and bump its bottom on the top of another bottle.

I'm not sure why (I'm thinking it's got to do with suddenly compressing the air in the bottle), but the bottom beer will come spraying out the top.

A fun party gag for those that didn't know it yet.

EDIT:
Let me show you what I mean with the best bottles.

their machines didn't work that fast, but I think the ice water and ice salt water both worked in under 10.

did for me atleast.

While we mention fun party tricks, here is a personal favorite.

Get a bottle of Johnnie Walker. Get two glasses. Tell the other person that if they can get Johnnie to walk the other direction, they get a drink. If they can't, they owe you one.

the solution? Fill both glasses with water, place them in a line infront of the bottle. Look through the two glasses, and Johnnie has changed directions

Hetzelsdorfer and Krug Bräu are very good. Honorable mention goes to Hofmann and Zirndorfer.

All are brewed according to the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinheitsgebot). Everything else is not beer. :)

Favorite Beer, but can't get it here in the U.S., Dopple Bock. Extrememly strong thick German Beer.

Easiest way to get beer cold. Bowl of ice, set beer in laying on it's side, spin beer with fingers constantly. You can get a canned beer from room temp down to nearly ice cold in about 8 minutes..thought spining the beer does take a bit of practice. ( Hint, when done...thump the side of the beer can three times hard, to move the carbonation formthe sides back to inside the beer, unless you feel like taking a beer bath.)

I don't drink to music, I drink while playing online poker.

Drinking game favorite. We took a Jinga set, and put penelties/awards on each of the blocks ( drink one, give four drinks, everybody dirink one, drink entire beer..etc) and then played. Whoever knocked the tower down payed for the next round if we were at a bar, or supplied one case at the next party.

1. Already said my favorite brands.
2. La Fin Du Monde and Maudite (Canada) are pretty good too.
3. In college we utilized the "icy water with a ton o' salt poured it it" trick.
4. Hefeweitzen (i.e. wheat beer)
5. Home. Away from home.
6. #1 Beer Pong #2 Three-man. #3 Pass the Pigs #4 D.U.I. #5 G.O.L.F.
7. Southern Rock seems to be the best beer drinking music, but that may just be because I went to college (and thus spent my frat days) in the south.

go for PBR. Cheaper, and still tastes like cold piss. Just like keystone.

Or if you hate your body, natty ice or milwaukee beast.

And at least old rednecks will respect you for drinking PBR. NO ONE respects a Keystone drinker.

Or if you hate your body, natty ice or milwaukee beast.

The beast is the best beer for "beer pong". And Natty Ice is SO what you need if you just HAVE to get tore up, and have less than five bucks.

nah, we lose the respect by going to school in Boston.

We use PBR for pong, and PBR (notice a trend?) and Jenkins rum to get "tore up"
$15 a handle just can't be beat.

If I had a choice, I would go with Killians. Sadly, I don't have money. PBR it is.

College Students here use Keystone and Milwakee's Best. We've had PBR and Steel Reserve from time to time (Steel Reserve is a mistake of a beer I say)

I think the Best beer I ever had was this Danish beer called Carlsberg a friend brought back from Canada. It was marvelous.

for favourite it's got to be delirium tremors largely due to it high alcohol content but out of convience it'll usually be carlsberg or if feeling cheap tuborg. however i'm moreso in favour of buckfast over just about anything it's a fortified wine and it gets you trolleyed. putting beer in the freezer is the preferred method of cooling or just drink it warm. drinking songs just about anything by andrew w.k.. drinking game has got to be circle of death

Any beer you have to put citrus fruit into in order to make it drinkable isn't beer--Corona, I'm looking at you. Besides, there are plenty of decent and available Mexican beers that no one should ever drink Corona--get a Negra Modelo if nothing else.

For US beers, nothing beats Anchor Steam, especially right when it's come off the line out of a keg in the taproom after a shift. I have never missed a job so badly in my life, even though I love my current one.

I drank some Chesterfield Ale frome the Yuengling brewing company this weekend. Haven't tried it in a while, but it's better than I remember.

Need to get it cold fast? Fill a cooler with ice and cold brine and submerge the beers in it. It will cool faster than in a refrigerator or a freezer.
