I'm new to NS(especially the Forums),and I don't really know how to start(mainly due to fear, since every time I join some school club,I get treated like a n00b in need of a serious training by some cool professional).So...can someone help me?I'm relatively new to Forums(I've only played online and PC games).

Just post randomly, go into the religion, evolution and politics threads now, so you'll be scarred for life and will avoid them in future. People here are nice, mainly. Post in whatever threads interest you. Generally, so long as you have something interesting to say, other people won't be bothered about your post count.

Nothin' to it. Just remember that General is, well, General. No RP in here. Just be yourself.

if youre really concerned, wait a month before you start your first thread. especially if its gonna be about religion, guns, abortion, bush, gay marriage, or the war in iraq, take a look at some of the current threads on the topic first. that way youll at least be prepared for who will be making you cry.

go easy on the smilies, they get old fast.

dont be impressed by others' post counts. making sense is what counts here, not ability to be online way too much.

I've been on these forums for years, and look at my post count...

The others covered it relatively good. My advice, in addition to theres, would be to keep a good sense of humor about everything when possible. That, and prepared to be offended, someone, sometime, if you spend enough time on here will make you hate something for some period of time.. just breath, chill, and respond ^.^

Yeah, Ashmoria. What's up with that?

Just stay cool. No one knows who or where you are. You can be anyone you want. Even the opposite of who you are. If someone insults you, let it roll off like water on a duck. Some people get a kick out of insulting. If you're sensitive, wait before you answer. Give yourself time to come up with a logical rather than emotional answer.

It was... once, before the Mods started these ridiculous consolidation programmes.

Oh well. (Original thread here, btw.)
