No matter how high the vote percentage is, do not buy it. As I said in the earlier thread, the site looks suspicious, and the pictures aren't convincing at all (notice the first example pic --- the "after" shot is tilted, and the floor is a smidge higher. the guy also looks older, and he's considerably thinner).

Don't. It's a scam.

17, eh? You're still going to grow, unless you're already a giant.

People who reach the 6' plateau before their late teens/early twenties usually don't grow after that. For example, somebody who's 6'1" at 16 most likely won't get any taller, while somebody who's 5'8" at 16 will most likely grow plenty until they reach their 20's.

As far as I'm aware, the only thing that "works" are growth hormones, which you can only get under medical supervision, and they'll only give them to children who are 1) still relatively young and 2) have a serious hormone deficit and are bound to otherwise not grow taller than maybe 4 feet (what's the PC word for "dwarf"? My dictionary says "person of short stature", but I've never heard that one.)

Well yeah, that's chaos for you. The fact remains: The majority of people who reach 6' or over before their late teens most likely won't grow anymore (or, at the most, about an inch more).

for this and all similar compounds (weight loss, hair restoration, penis or breast enlargement, whatever)

either they work or they dont eh?

if they DON'T work youve wasted your time, your money and your faith in other people.

if they DO work they are too dangerous to take without a doctors supervision. anything that can affect your body in such a profound way would be an extremely powerful and dangerous drug.

talk to your doctor about what you can do that is safe and effective.

I voted no, 'cause... you're 5'9" and I don't like the thought of somebody taking a risk with their own health to become more attractive in their own eyes.

And btw it is not super to be tall, as I/we have to listen to people all the time saying "damn, you're tall!" and "oh my God, how tall are you?!".

I often wonder how people would react if I said to a person with weight problems: "Oh God, is it possible to be that big? How much is your weight?!" And they can at least do something about it, as it is diffecult to lose height, unless you're using drastic methods.

My two cents...

A wise philosopher once wrote: "WTF, Over?"

Look at the website... look at how EVERY TIME it comes to the point where they are going to state some scientific result, they 'cut something out'.

A grammar definition of the 'ellipsis' is as follows: "An ellipsis proves to be a handy device when you're quoting material and you want to omit some words. The ellipsis consists of three evenly spaced dots (periods) with spaces between the ellipsis and surrounding letters or other marks".

What they are doing, is wriggling past some legal requirement to state only true things, by implying there is material (and, indeed, the material may be genuine) CUT OUT from their statments:

Example:

"It has been found... nutritional supplementation can continue to influence growth hormone release even in older adults".

"The main point being... growth hormone secretion can be significantly increased from oral arginine administration when combined with Ornithine to take advantage of the synergistic effect".

"It has also been found:.. physical exercise can stimulate growth hormone release in older adults,"

"Fortunately, researchers have found... using another amino acid along with Arginine accomplishes both goals."

"Another interesting point... amino acid combinations, such as arginine and Ornithine have been found to improve certain aspects of immune function as well as the production of immune hormones from the thymus gland"

Another indicator that they are 'swerving' legal repurcussions, is the fact that they seem to feel that they can only state certain claims as quotes:

"Works even while your asleep" (quotation marks FROM the site)

""Arginine can increase slightly, but... when we add Ornithine, it goes up 700%" (quotation marks FROM the site)

“ Grow Taller By Increasing Your Own Natural Growth ” (quotation marks FROM the site)

Of course, MOST telling, is the opening statement at the top of the Home page, which uses the ellipsis AND the quotation marks:

"Turning Back The Clock Through... Better Amino Release To Help You Grow Taller And Faster"

I'm inclined to follow the majority here... this is a scam.

I'd say get used to the height and shape you are, and don't let people pick your pocket for some vision of how you 'should be'.

Depends on what kind of weight training: if it's more to keep fit and have a few little bulges here and there, go ahead!

If it's more serious, professional athlete wannabe type of training, ask a doctor for advice.

Finally, if it's body building, start light and work up to body-building levels over the years, and try not to use _too_ many steroids!:p

wow dude. that's a sobering thought. puts 3 inches into some kind of perspective doesn't it? I'm glad you got through all that.

thinking about that, long-term stress affects all kinds of things in your body. maybe a lot of stress hormones during everything your country went through could have temporarily affected the way you've grown. if that's true, and I'm no doctor, you should start to catch up now. you've got time.

weight training could be good for your overall health too. Elgesh said all the important stuff about it except I'd say lay off the steroids algether, they can mess with your hormones and you don't need that.

also try general sports - but you probably already do some. I took up surfing, running, ice hockey and martial arts as a teen along with some weight training and it was great. helped me see that "being tall" is more than the inches. by the time I finished growing I already knew how to feel tall. even now people tell me they remember me as well over 6'.

all the best.

Talk to your doctor if you feel short. Even if that is the right drug, you never know the side effects of it. 5'9" is a good height by the way. Average height people live longer than taller people. Each extra inch takes off around 3 years or so.

I can buy one package to see how the shit works, but other that that i thinmk you are right

You sound like you're already committed to buying it, anyway... so, one wonders why you even ask?

Let me put it this way... what we are talking about is a medication of some kind. It works, by interacting with your body, and how it performs it's natural processes.

Now, you can't SEE these processes, so you can't 'imagine' what damaging them would look like.

So - let's bring it up to a level you CAN imagine. Imagine for a second, that you disliked your eye colour. Imagine if a website suggested jabbing a pencil into your eye.

Hell, they're probably even right... a ruptured eyeball is going to look quite different to an intact one.

Now, imagine that the 'drug' they ship to you, is just like jabbing pencils through every little cell, and every organ, they come in contact with. Still sound like a good idea?

Another point, of course:

Haven't you ever wondered why diets always guarantee weight loss in the first 2 or 4 weeks? It's because it is EASY to lose a few pounds, but very hard to maintain that rate of loss. It is hard even to maintain your lower weight, let alone lose more.

So - companies like this, RELY on the fact that you'll order one pack, and see some very superficial improvement... and you'll BELIEVE that that improvement MEANS something significant.

It never does... they 'sell' their product on the knowledge that you've seen it 'work' once, so you'll blame some OTHER aspect of your lifestyle when their snake-oil stops working.

Thanks for the info;)

But well, i do a lot of sports I can bench 90 kilos, and run 5,5 km in 20 min.
So overall my health is good.

BUt about that stress thing, well I was not as much stressed from The bosnia thing, well some. But at the time I was in Norway,as a refugee, the only thing is, here I never fitted in. At school i was harrased and beaten up for having a strange name, and to little money. but then going back to where i lived i was harrased and beaten up becouse i was the only white of the kids there. So I just had the not belongen beeing alone thing, but that drew on far longer then the bosnia conflict, come to think of it, i have always wondered how life would have been had not jugoslavia fucked it self up.
But then again i'm leaving for canada\america after school anyways so there I will be avrege:p
So if one thing, i didn't belong anywhere.

Gassputia, it sounds to me like you've had a hard enough time that you don't need to be ripped off by these guys. I'm really glad you've decided not to do it.

all the best when you get to North America. I'd like to say it's all going to get better, but that depends where you end up. as you know already, there are idiots in every country in the world. there are also really good people, and a load in between. a bit like nationstates, really.

just don't lose yourself trying to live up to what other people want. they don't know any better and can't make up their minds anyway.
;)

good luck.

Hell no. That stuff does almost nothing unless it's in an injectable form, which is prescription only. You're going to be paying $400+ for nothing; I mean you're probably still growing naturally so it's not going to do much and might even inhibit growth. That's modern-day snake oil and nothing more (just like penis enhancement supplements).
