The US economy continues to expand at a decent rate, with 108,000 jobs created in November. Although this is only half the amount expected, a huge 95,000-job upward revision in November (to 305,000) made the two-month count the same.

However, the report shows several major improvements. Employment declined in retail and construction, but high-paying sectors had strong growth, especially manufacturing with 18,000 positions and 33,000 over the past two months, information technology with 5,600, professional/business services with 33,000 and Financial services with 12,000.
