people. Most forums that die do so because people stop going. You'll probably need to have a dedicated core of posters in place before you start, and then to get some sort of advertising out there to keep new blood coming in.

It'll draw lots of 12 yo boys pretending to be 17-21

Nudity and violence work for movies and stuff. They would probably make a forum interesting.

Well, having a lot of people interested from the start can help, as can advertising it on other boards (if allowed). Word of mouth by friends interested can do a lot to build up a forum in its early days, and from there hopefully more and more people will latch on.
