Too bad it's not my favorite Kennedy. Maybe this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4582930.stm)will serve as a reminder to Teddy that he could use some help.
Kennedy admits battling alcohol
Liberal Democrat Charles Kennedy has called a leadership contest after admitting he has been battling with a drink problem.

I'm kinda impressed that he was able to become leader of anything as an alcoholic.
Whoa! Flashback to 1969.
Flashback to 1990, attempted assassination of a party leader popular with party members by selfish power-hungry MPs...

No chance of that. Teddy's so dedicated to the bottle he'd kill (again) before he gave it up.
In fact, he's so pickled, it would probably kill him if he tried.

Teddy Kennedy died years ago. What we have is a giant, LEIberal, talking booze bottle.
Love that bumper sticker - "Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun."

I was in town earlier, and saw on a newspaper rack two different front pages on the Daily Mail. The first one had the headline:
KENNEDY: I WAS AN ALCOHOLIC
The one on the rack below had the headline:
KENNEDY: I AM AN ALCOHOLIC
Someone's going to be in trouble for that.
I'm kinda impressed that he was able to become leader of anything as an alcoholic.
More impressively, various polls conducted since the announcement suggest that between 60% and 90% of the public believe he should continue as leader. We like our alcoholics in Britain, it appears.

We like our alcoholics in Britain, it appears. Like Churchill?
Like Churchill?
Think what would have happened if Hitler hadn't spilt his pint.

George Best, Paul Gascoigne, Dylan Thomas...
I could probably find more given time.

We're very proud of our alcoholics in the Southern US as well. Not sure what everyone's problem with Kennedy could be. The Kennedys, unlike the Bushes, embrace the booze and roll with it.
I prefer a proud drunk to a sheepish "evils of alcohol" one.
