More unacceptable on girls methinks. After a hot date, noone wants to discover their girlfriend appeared to Moses in the desert as the burning bush.

Well technically it's a genetic mutation/disease type thingy, so hell yeah it's weird! :D

With the exception of a few select people, it's just plain wrong lol. Although now I come to think of it they're all redheads rather than ginger.

Ginger hair by itself is ok, the problem arises with the presence of large freckles WITH the ginger hair. Also, the darker the gingeriness, the worse it looks. Strawberry blonde is fine, dark terracotta with matching freckles is not

I'd get that idea because of a haircolour that is very prevelant in Irish ancestry is apparently "unnasseptable" (*how that nanny show lady says it*)

What color is preferable to the tolerant, open-minded students in Glasgow who would prefer to eliminate Ginger haired people?

Blondes need a lot of work done to get their looks perfect. They just don't look right natural.

Brunettes look great naturally, but can't improve.

Redheads are just the great combo, and they're just so rare that you go ecstatic when you find a hot one.

student?.... I'm 13

*looks confused*

I think this is proof I'm not Brittish, but at least in the US, a student is anyone who's in school learning things. Maybe not in preschool, but that's just a glorified babysitting service anyway. The moment you start a regular school, you're a student, and that keeps going until you graduate and are all done. Usually people who go beyond college (university) are "grad students" instead of just regular students. From your reaction, I'm guessing this is different over there, but I'm not real sure how. Anyway, in this country 13 year olds legally HAVE to be students... you're not allowed to drop out until you're like 16 or 17.

Man! I make an innocent little unfair generality and get flamed for it! :D

In my experience visiting there though, Irish people don't look particularly different from anyone else, on average. Actually, according to some completely unsubstantiated internet site I just found, it says Scotland has the highest percentage of red-heads in the world, at about 13% of the population. Does that imply that Glasgow would prefer to seceede from Scotland, in their bias against their own heritage?

In Ireland, 13 years olds LEGALLY have to attend school, however, they are not commonly known as students Student in England/Ireland is anyone in third level education - college/university goers only. Anyone in first/second level education, ie school, is a pupil, school kid, etc, etc, etc. Grad students are the same pretty much everywhere.

Ah, don't know now, there's something about us Irish. If you lined up a bunch of people against the wall, I bet I could pick out the Paddy amongst them. We all get our features from the tribes we're descended from. Americans however are a mixture of people from all over Europe, Asia and Africa, so some of the more subtle features are pretty much bred out. Except for Jewish people, who still seem to have a particular look about the nose that sets them apart...

Too bad I waited four pages to tap this ass, but here's my take on it, as a USian of "Irish descent" (had to put that in quotations, because last time I just said it the Irish kids jumped on my ass with "You're a freakin' American" and the Irish American kids jumped on my ass with "Oh yeah?! What percent are you?! Pussy")

Gingers are freaks. Gingers don't belong. Every time my guy-friend-who-thinks-he's-dating-me walks into the room I grit my teeth over the fact that he's a goddamn firecrotch.

Why my disdain for Gingers?
Because I'm a halfer.
Don't know where it came from, either. Both my mum and dad's families have dark hair and light eyes, but here I am with naturally auburn (light auburn, which I just barely pass off as brown naturally) hair, light blue eyes, and pale-ass skin with freckles. Do you guys think it's fun? Do you think it's pleasant? 'Cause it's not. There are billions of pervy guys out there who want nothing more than to slide up next to me 'cause I'm a "redhead".

Ginger = red, correct? Or is that a nickname for strawberry blonde? Either way.. why would it be unacceptable? I mean I know us redheads get picked on as kids because we're 'different', but that bullshit mentality fades in adulthood. I'm a 'flaming redhead', not strawberry blonde, or orange.. im freakin auburn .. no confusion there. If you are a redhead and are getting shit for it.. don't worry. Oh and as for if girls or guys get the biggest shit for it, I'd have to say the guys.. but as for who the 'picking' might have a lasting effect on more.. the girls probably for a while.. but as they get older they will get soo many compliments on their 'beautiful hair' from other chics that whatever negative feelings they had about it would be helped to fade from that, as for guys.. they won't be getting those compliments from their fellow buddies too often. I've known quite a few redheaded dudes that keep their head shaved, it might be cause of the shit they caught when they were younger.
