I need some help (once again)....
A friend of mine installed a router, hooked it up to his computer, and uses it for his laptop. It says the signal is excellent, but he can't get to the internet. Whenever it he opens internet explorer, it says the page cannot be found.

Connection can be great, but that doesn't mean there is a working downstream to his machine.

It means that while there is INTERNAL connectivity, the external connection is failing, either due to the ISP, or maybe even NAT.

NAT?
Net Address Translation. It's a protocol that translates private IP addresses into public ones and vice versa for the purposes of transmitting data over a network.

Log in to the router and see if it has gotten an address from your ISP. I am also hoping it isn't still using a default password as there is a small chance someone else could log in and mess with it.
