Why???

why is that every post that even REMOTELY has to deal with the Iraq war has to blow up in a full scale debate. Can't people in this forum find something other than Bush, Iraq, Terrorism or any of that.

Like, ummm how about Priest Holmes, he's had an awesome season

Or that German Beer tastes good

as does Irish Beer. Really it does I'm not lying.

Or that Jaegermeister is probably the greatest liquor invented......EVER because well you mix it with Red Bull and its just awesome(well i'm biased i'm drinking a lot of it at the very time that i'm posting) Actually i'm suprised i'm able to post at all considering I have a 1/5th of Jager and a bunch of redbull sitting in front of me and I started about 3 hours ago.

But yeah on an another topic i'd really like to visit Europe, I'm a moderate(what euro's will call a conservitive but americans a hopeless liberal) and all but I'd really like to go to Germany, Netherlands and England. I think those people REALLY know how to party

OOC: excuse this drunken post, maybe it'll start an interesting thread that will discuss such things as Comparing different country's alchohol and different types of drugs as apposed as the continous close mindedess political talk on both sides because in the end we are all human and love to make money, Fuck and party. It's just our basic instincts.

Maybe it's because the forums are largely populated by idealistic teenagers who want to prove a point?

I'll talk about alcohol in four months when I get a chance to try it.

I never get that really. I mean if you're going to make a point, do it in public. Don't do it from the "safety" of the internet. I mean I'm going to be honest. Any point you try to make on the internet may get replies, but it not really going to do anything. No one gives a crap what you say on an internet forum. (Sorry but it's true). If you really want to make a change and if you got the guts to, take your ideas to the general public.

You know, I did a poll way back-and every once in a while someone does something similar, that completely debunks this. Rather consistantly. There are a lot of college students, a fair amount of people in thier late 20s to mid 30s with not a few above 40. And a handful of teenagers, but they usually have things like school and activities that make them not as active participants...

Nope, it's the collected good-will and good-wishes of other posters here on NS, upon recognition of your distress in your threadstarter post.
Mmmm, so how does ... *THAT* feel?

So instead of coming to dedicated forum to interrogate your ideas and the ideas of others who are also there to do the same, to explore other modes of thought or hear the other side of the argument you think it would be better to stand on the corner and harangue passers by?

Well, there's many reasons, but I guess I'll try and summarise the main reasons:

1. It's fun to criticise Bush.
2. See 1.

ya, but criticizing bush gets old.

How about you pick on, ummmmm, Ummmm Governor Bob Taft of Ohio. or the Governor of Virginia(you should have seen the political campaign they ran, I've never seen mudslinging of the like)

I confess I've been a Bush basher, American criticiser and forum ranter on the middle east for some years now....it was never like this in the beginning...I thought I was in control....but they say thats what all Bush-bashers think in the beginning....
