And to think I almost stopped watching at the 6:00 mark.

That was easily the best game I've seen since 2003's OSU/Miami game--Vince Young has got to be one happy man right now.

Did you seriously want USC to win? 34 wins in a row isn't enough? :p

I love how Oklahome is getting ignored for their 2004 "Championship." That proved what crap the BCS err I mean BS is.

I said in 2004 that no one would remember Oklahoma and they would remember USC. I was right.

She lives in Oklahoma. Probably has great hate for Texas.

not really. I have no interest in USC at all, I am just anti-A&M, it's a requirement where I live. I wore an A&M shirt on halloween once and got the crap kicked out of me. true story.

USC got more credit for the streak--and rightly so, because in this day and age, that kind of streak is incredible--than they did for the national championship.

But congrats to Texas--sounds like a hell of a game. Now the big question--assuming that the Houston Texans take Reggie Bush with the first pick in the NFL draft, which qb should the Saints take with #2? Leinart or Young? I know who was the stud tonight, but who projects better in the NFL?

Leinart will be the better QB in the pros--you can't get away with rushing all the time like Young does; but granted a lot of it has to do with how good your opposing secondary is. Young does seem to like to run the ball, but he's a good passer too so he should be decent. That said, Leinart strikes me as a slightly better passer, so I'd guess he'll fare better in the long run.

And he won't go to the Saints he'll go to San Fransisco, and Young will probably go to either New Orleans or Detroit. Bush might not go to Houston [I've heard the Texans claim they're not interested in him, but they might just be throwing the rest of the League a curve], because if I were them I'd concentrate on building my line over anything else, as I think the Texans have the beginnings of a decent offensive squad.

The Saints pick ahead of the Niners, and besides, the Niners took a QB with the first pick last year, a kid out of Utah named Alex Smith. Leinart will be there if the Saints want him. I guess a lot of the decision will be made once they hire a new coach--which qb will fit that coach's style?

Now UCLA's current winning streak (1 game) is longer than USC's current winning streak.

Houston would be pretty stupid to not trade down. There are a lot of teams out there that would be willing to give up several picks/players for the chance to get Bush. Houston could definetly use quantity over quality at this point...they have a lot of needs, and running back isn't necessarily one of them.
