Had not seen one of these around here

Let us know flaws YOU yourself have found in movies and why they bug you

To start off Went to North Country tonight

1)I believe the watter tower for virginia that was the backdrop was put up in the 90's (the movie takes place in the 70's)
2)When she drives to Minneapolis to go to a meeting there is a a blue porch parked on the right ... post 2000
3)Speed limit sign when driving to Minneapolis shows current legal speeds, which are considerably higher then 70's standards
4)They showed a stretch of road in the final scene with her boy driving ... it was a section of highway between Gilbert and Virginia ... did not have 8 foot paved shoulders before 6 years ago or so.
(Lol my mom's side is from up there so I spend a lot of time up there)

Cheaper By The Dozen 2

1. It made money
2. I had to watch it sitting in front of 14 kids.
3. Hilary Duff looked messed up.
4. The only remaining hot girl was pregneant, c'mon, that's so evil to do to a poor guy.
5. Had to watch it because my little brother wanted to see it and apparently his word is law around the house.

Change brother to sister, and that would describe my house.

I hated north country, not because I saw it - which I didn't, but I worked in a movie theatre in northern minnesota.. It was the most popular movie for like 3 months
it sucked.

I bet lol what was the reaction up there? I talked to some of my family and they did not like it

But my mom (who worked secretary work) for the mines until 71 said it was fairly accurate

Jurassic Park:

1. Dinosaurs don't exist today.

2. Newman from seinfield isn't a computer genius

3. Samuel L. Jackson was killed by a dinosaur - Even dinosaurs fear Samuel L. Jackson he's that big of a badass

4. Jeff Goldbloom did not have enough lines He's way cooler than the main character.

3. Those kids should have been eaten by dinosaurs right away, everyone knows dinosaurs desire nothing more than the soft flesh of the young.

Yes but I doubt your sister is autistic.

Everyone just watched it because some relative of there's was in it somewhere, or to see if they could see their house or something. It was the beginning of the crappy weather and I kept asking everyone "Do you really want to watch a movie about HERE?

There are links on movie's pages on imdb.com where people make their needling observations about fouled minutia in films, so rather than going through that (which makes me feel for the continuity editor and script supervisor (the script supervisor is the on set guy who makes sure that the actors pick up the cup with the same hand each take, etc.) because no one notices their job unless they make a mistake...) I'll go into movies that had concepts that seemed flawed to me-

Armageddon- I remain unconvinced that it would be easier to train drillers to become astronauts than it would to train astronauts to become drillers. They are astronauts, kind of used to some focused training and science. Now people have said that the asteroid was difficult to drill on so they need to be there-landing on an asteroid is somehow easy though...I just don't buy it.

Deep Blue Sea- "We made the sharks brain larger, as a side effect it became smarter." Now, I understand that it isn't necessarily a guarantee that the shark would get smarter, but it was at least a possibility. Enough of one that maybe it wasn't the greatest damn idea in the world to do the research in the sharks environment. Maybe they could do it in above ground aquarium where if the sharks get smarter you simply back up a few feet. Unless the shark becomes smart enough to develop tool use enabling it to drive a car, you're fine.

So, those are the ones that get to me...

Hook:

People can't fly even if they believe they can

pirates are all gay, and if captain hook wanted peter pan for anything it was sex.

tinkerbell was obviously fake, the human body cannot be efficiently shrunk to that size while still working and able to make wings function. Also her brain would be so small that she wouldn't have the capacity to speak or use abstract though in any way more than a duck could.

The Manchurian Candidate remake annoyed me greatly. Especially the bit where he attacks his ex-colleague who's running for vice-president.
He pushes him face down on the table whileripping his shirt off and biting his shoulder. Personally it looks like he's trying to bugger him, which was kinda funny.

What annoyed me was that he later attacks a cop who's questioning him then they let him go cause the vp isn't going to press charges!

Now I ask you, if a homeless crazy black guy asaults and attempts to bugger a leading politician yelling something about a microchip planted in his shoulder then attacks a cop you think they're gonna let him go?
Stuff saying that they arranged it cause they needed him later. It's a friggin' huge plot hole you could sail a oil tanker through.

I think I gave up on the movie at this point.

All Chicks flicks

1. They were made

2. Women drag their lover/boyfriend/fiancee/husband to see them, but won't go to the newest horror slasher flick!

But seriously

Pushing Tin- ATC job is hard, stressful, and when you hear the near-collision sound, not all of the other Controllers leave their scope to witness the collision.

Not all ATC centers has 500 men and women controlling the airspace. This movie was about controller at the TRACON level. Trust me, at the TRACON level, you have like 3-4 guys at the scope, all controlling 2-3 radio freq.

A jet blast from a 747 would KILL YOU! If you don't believe me, watch this film.

If it can do that to a truck, just imagine what it can do to a person.

That's it from me.

Emperor Palpatine, the evil genius Sith Lord, who organized the creation of an invincible clone army, and wrested control of an entire galaxy, and the destruction of the Jedi Knights....only to be defeated by an army of fucking teddy bears, using bows and arrows.

God damn you George Lucas.

You know what's also amazing, was while Emperor Papatine was creating his army, Yoda somehow wasn't able to use his Jedi powers to PICK UP ON THAT!

Yah.
I know...wookies would have been SO much cooler.

I believe Lucas began losing his mind during the filming of Jedi.

Well, I was even willing to play along.

"The Dark Side clouds the Jedi senses, with particular regard to the obvious."

I could have lived with that, but the Ewok thing.....curse you Lucas.
