I did all these distinctions because these countries are very different from each other.
Canada is very different from the US, Russia is very different from the other European countries, and it's neither in the EU nor has it the Euro (nor does it have any ambitions for either). Likewise, there's also a big difference between the SE-Asian countries and the rest of Asia (heck, there's still a big difference among those three, but I didn't have that much poll options).

probably a good idea to say subcontinent as well (India and Pakistan) and keep China and Japan as seperate

Its a pretty big mistake. I mean you should be able to tell the north from the south. Theres a big line around the middle on most world maps that makes it pretty easy. Why bother asking geographic questions if you dont know what you are talking about?

No not really as the poll results are beginning to show. You see this is a forum on the internet so population does'nt really matter Population of internet users matters. North America (oh hey ya sepoerated us so I guess it does'nt matter) America has more people with Pcs then anywhere else so there are more Americans here than any other nationality. Even those that have much larger populations (say the entire asian continent thrown together) Actually I was wanting the Uk to be listed as seperate from Europe too if for nothing more than cultural reasons. Cuturally I'd put the Uk as farther seperated from Europe than the Canadians are from us yanks (even if they don't like to asdmit it). That and the fact that the server is in the UK.

i'll let you in on a little secret.....i've lived in Ga 31 years and i have yet to see a peachtree. i think way back in the old days we grew a lot of them but not so much now. i think they chose the peach state over redneckville cause it sounds a little better.
