No, only Queensland matters :D.

I didn't mention the other states because I'm not sure of the time difference with them and didn't want to make a mistake. As far as I'm aware, Queensland is currently 9.15 pm, and NSW, Vic and Tas are 10.15 because they are all on daylight savings. As for the rest of the states, I wouldn't have a clue.

I know Queensland doesn't use Daylight savings because the cattle doesn't like their Milking times all screwed up, and all the country folk don't like the extra hour that the paint could peel from their houses.:p

With the stinking hot and humid weather we get up here the paint peeling from houses isn't so far off the mark and I'm one of those that hates daylight savings. The sooner it gets dark, the better because it finally cools down enough to sleep. There is a growing number of strange people in the south east of the state who want DS introduced here though.

I was a nanny/housekeeper in Adelaide years ago and do wonder if all these daylight savings fans in Qld (who need their heads tested in my opinion, we get enough darn sunlight) have ever tried to get 7 year old children to bed on a schoolnight when its still light outside? I bet they haven't ;).

Less than 2 hours to go in Brisbane now :).

Beer, yuk. I'd rather have the passion pop. At least it tastes good (just for the record, I'm female) :D.

and no, we don't have temps like that. Brisbane's highest max temp was reached two years ago on feb 22, when it hit 42 point something. That was the birthday from hell for me. Brisbane doesn't hit the 40 degree mark often.

Having said that, it's been around 33 for the last few weeks and with humidity around 70 to 80%, its been barely bareable. We actually got down to 30 today, that was a lovely cool change. I didn't need to put the air conditioner on :p.

One hour to go for Queensland, happy new year to the rest of eastern Australia.
