Yeah I'm extremely bored, and I only have my PC to keep me company.
I'm heading to UCSD in January, I'm finally stepping out onto the real world(well sort of).
So where do you all go to, and do you like it there? Is it a good idea to take 5 classes per quarter?

I do freelance set crew work, which honestly I didn't need the degree for. The degree was for me. And it introduced me to a lot of people who may or may not get me out of whoring myself out as a PA to 3rd rate reality shows...but we all have dues to pay...

Heh, that one never even occurred to me, believe it or not.
Of course, our secondary education actually is free*, so there.;)
*Disclaimer: Well, in some parts of the country, it's starting to get less so. Plus, if you've been dragging out the degree-getting for what the man thinks is too long, you already have to pay today. But, compared to the US? Peanuts.

Guess what...I go with the times. And the only way to change a system is from the top.
That being said, you'll find that my loony leftiness isn't actually all that pronounced when it comes to economic issues. Having to do with people who actually have to make up legislation, rules and other things regarding the economy and individual businesses, being around people who end up making decisions on the interest rates and so on detracts a lot from philosophical questions like "Buaaahhh, I don't wanna pay my taxes today!!!"

i go to ucsd currently, studying literature/creative writing. i'm taking off for graduate school year after next at either the university of edinburgh, u of glasgow, or berkeley.
and i can tell you that taking 5 classes at ucsd is do-able. i did it last quarter, but it's tough (considering 3 classes is considered a full load.) it didn't find it an intellectual strain, but it ended up meaning quitting my job because if you figure: each class is a 10-15 hour/wk commitment (and considering my classes were all upper division, they were), that's 50-75 hours of work each week just for school. i'm definetly the sort of person who overburdens themselves but working 20 hours on top of that was too much.
