Since the "Camelot" days of Jackie Kennedy, it's been traditional for the First Lady, to take up a cause. We see her in commercials at three in the morning between the latest amazing home appliance breakthough discover by Ronco, and demonstrated by his nearly retarded oldr brother, and the program that can make me billions, just like Don did, out of his one bedroom apartment.

I digress...

Nancy Reagan told us to just say no.
Some of us didnt listen. (You know who you are.)

George Sr's mom Barbara Bush, told us to read.
(Some of you still arent listening...Im talking to the South.)

Hilary's cause, aside from beginning her plans for global domination, (Damn you broccoli!) seems to have been getting her own job.

Wich brings us to Laura Bush.
Whats her cause?
What does she do?

My last assumption was concubine of the devil, but then, she is married to George, and they are married, so thats perfectly normal.
But then, I saw her late at night, on a commercial, begging for more money to rebuild schools devastated by Katrina.
A-ha! I though, this must be her cause!
Shes a mooch!

Shes the person who comes around the day after you loan him ten bucks, and asks for five more. "C,mon, we'll catch you on the next election."
Okay, im being mean, its a good cause, and god knows the kids in the south could use a few schools, huh?

So, is this Lauras bag?

I seriously don't possess enough ammo to take her on. I have personally seen very little for which she needs to be drawn into the "honey-pot" that is her husband's endeavours.
I could, however, hate her for her lack of taste in males of (this?) species with which to propegate her tender DNA.

Wel, Im poking some fun at her, of course, but Im wondering what she has "taken up", and decided to champion.

Laura Bush just is. Other than her poor taste, she seems a decent enough human being.

I do recall her being in a number of ads for some cause or another. Forget which one....

But fund-raising might be what she's remembered for. But... well, I have a hard enough time remembering that she exists at all, and this is while she's got the power of being the woman behind the man most powerful.
