Has anyone seen the show, and if you have what are your thoughts on it?
I always used to think that I was the only American to have seen Red Dwarf. I've got the first 4 dvds, and I don't know where I can buy the rest.

It's one of my favorite British comedies. I wish the dvds weren't so pricey, because I wouldn't mind owning them. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with Netflix.

"You don't call him Mr. Rimmer. His name is smeg head, or molecule mind, or smeg for brains. Or if you want to be mega polite, and I mean Mega polite Kryten, you can call him asshole"
I'm not sure if that is the exact quote. If it isn't please post the exact one.
Has anyone seen the show, and if you have what are your thoughts on it?One of the greatest sci fi comedies ever. One of the greatest comedies, period.
I find most comedies painfull to watch a second time, but Red Dwarf stays funny.

Any news on the film/movie ?
Kryten is my favourite character!!!!
I met Robert Llewellyn at the NEC a few weeks back and got his autograph! I also asked him about the new film and he said that he knew as much about it as I did. So if there is going to be a Red Dwarf film, then it's not going to be for a while.

Totally :D If you get a chance to see it, do - Series 1 + 2 were good, but obviously cheap, a little rough and ready; 3-6 were amazing, some real gems; series 7 + 8... well, one of the founding writers had left by that point, and it was a bit ropey.
Series 6 for the win! That cliffhanger episode, the last of series 6... oh, I was 13, laughed all the way through and for 30 mins afterwards. Then cryed for an hour, they were all dea...

Well that's okay. What does hurt to be massicast ?
Me:
Maby the whole thing about not knowing what's real or not... Or knowing that you hurt yourself to ease the pain...

God:
Interesting comparison.
Me:
I'm glad you think so AI...
God:
You make the world a happier place.
Me:
I try to...
God:
I'm not sure if I would like to try it.
What's it like?

yes there are a few inconsistencies within the show *dons pedantic obsessive nerd hat,* in the episode which introduces kryten, he is able to say the word smeg and lie to mister rimmer. In later episodes he has difficulty saying smeg and it takes a while before he can access lie mode. Also its a different actor who plays him! but that would be fairly obvious to anyone.

Indeed... although the original actor (name slips my mind, for the moment) DOES return as the voice of Talkie Toaster in a later episode....
If you want to pick up inconsistencies, the number of appendix removals Lister has is probably the MOST noticable. :D
