I'll tell you what i DIDNT get,...A new Battlestar Galactica. The new one is a low concept, blame america, sex and nudity, horribly produced piece of gunk.
Someday Santa ( read - a trutly openminded producer) will make that show come to life again with the spirit and drama that should befit its original awe inspiring concept.
Damn lameass R.D.Moore, lameass hollywood!

The Complete Calvin and Hobbes - an enormous, 3-volume, surprisingly heavy collection of every Calvin & Hobbes cartoon. Oh, if only I'd had this wonderful treasure as a child! I'd probably be even more warped than I am now! But Bill Waterson didn't start drawing it until I was an adult, alas, and I could only look back on the memories of my youth, and wonder why people got so worried whenever I told them that the comic strip was exactly like my own childhood.
(Needless to say, I'm locking this up some place where my son can't get to it. I don't want him getting any ideas.)
