You are lazy

Technonchthonia
24-12-2005, 19:34
The majority of you seem to hold the unreasonable belief that voicing your opinion has some effect on the issue complained about.

If you would put even a fraction of the effort that you normally spend digging through propagandas on actually researching the issues, people who know what is going on would become readily apparent to you, as opposed to only the people who are as lazy as you, and then maybe you could post to a forum that actually means something will get done.

Further, if you accept things for face value, especially when they are derived and/or contrived by corporate media outlets, you really are just too gullible to be making decisions about your own welfare, and probably don't deserve any freedoms or liberties at all since you would only use them to become even more lazy and delusional.

Moreover, the people with enough motivation to actually perform research on the issues and find a way to do something about them usually don't have time to explain it all to you. Worse, if even half the truth about the issues was knowledge that the public could easily find, it doesn't matter at all what government is in charge, there would be constant revolution, and nobody wants that.

It takes a very disciplined outlook to actually face an issue and find a solution. The very fiber of society is built from the apathy of followers, and without followers, nobody can lead.

The USA already is suffering from an overpopulation of delusional leadership. Luckily for us, you don't have to be born on US soil for any position but President, which is only a figurehead obligation to begin with. The USA is not an autonomous government, and never was intended to be one. The fact that it's the most desirable country in the world to live in is the entire reason for our success in any endeavor, but it's also based on the fact that we're comprised of the oppressed ignorant peoples of everywhere that sucks real bad. The people immigrating from suckrealbad-land don't actually understand why it's good here, they're mostly chasing a dream of better-than-horrible, which is exactly what they find when they get here.

Those untrained ignorant refugees from, usually dictatorships, don't immediately adjust to a mindset condusive to democracy. A long time ago, it happened that such ignorance became more common than educated interest in society. This is why Roosevelt spent so long in office, and was nearly elected KING of the USA. Nobody gave two turds about democracy anymore, and not much has really changed since then except that ignorance is now freely distributed in more forms than just cocaine and moonshine between shifts in the coal mines.

On top of everything else, there's a genuine Nazi presence here in the USA that has been slowly and surely increasing in power over the last 60-70 years, waiting for its chance to once again dominate all the people of the world under their psychotically self-destructive philosophies. They are methodical and efficient, and more patient than any reasonable person would ever be willing. The policies that they can be attributed are such things as affirmative action, which, at first glance seems like it would go directly against their agenda. But in practice, affirmative action actually corrodes the value of experience in the workplace and replaces it with ironic inefficiency while simultaneously granting a provision that is otherwise not even seen for the insult to minorities that it genunely is.

Another major propaganda technique that seems to have worked in the Nazis favor is the irrationally negative reaction that the majority now have to even the mention of Adolh Hitler. It's extremely important to discuss the horrible atrocities of the past, and understand them, or else you're going to force them to happen again. In making it impossible to discuss Hitler's tactics and methods during WW2, and by jumping all over anyone who attempts to have such a discussion, you're preventing any understanding of those events and hastening a repeat. The nation of free speech is crippled by an inability to make any damn sense.

Nobody that lived during those times is even alive to talk about it any more, and the general trend for people who were never involved in an event to take offense to other people who were also not involved, re: black people pretending to be pissed off about slavery 200 years before they were born, re: jews who refuse to withstand any discussiong about the german holocaust, re:hippies that refuse to talk about Viet Nam, re:environmentalists that didn't do anything when Bush sold all the national parks to Wal-Mart, the list is getting too long too fast.... all of this GARBAGE only promotes a further removal of your rights as they were established DURING those times of crisis.

So either get off your lazy butt and go take part in your governmental system, or be an idiot and shut up. I mean the original greek meaning of idiot, not the abused slang version currently most commonly in circulation. Idiot originally meant a non-participating member of democratic society.

You are lazy.

OK, fine, have it your way. If you know so much, do you know, for example, Hitler's position on gun control? Or on abortion, or euthinasia?

Uh huh. Riight. Because my grandmother, for instance, is really about 40 years younger than she says she is and obviously couldn't remember these things, even though she was plenty old enough. What's the point in reading the whole thing when the first sentence slags us off? You haven't been here long enough to know that if you tell people they're lazy, they will then just play up to that.
Some people here do do things about what they say, and yet still they post here. What does that tell you? That we're lazy, or that maybe we're just having fun? If you want to do something about whatever, then fine, but you're not going to be able to change the way people on here act, because (almost) everyone here is here to have fun.

If I were into psychology, and I'm not, I would say what you are doing is known as projecting. I would say that you yourself are experiencing a reaction formation and that you're lazy and trying to motivate yourself by looking like you're being a motivational source for others.

Ha! as a psychology student, I'd say the concept of projecting was invented so psychologists can always win arguments. He who smelt it, dealt it, as the ancient Phoenicians once said.

Apathetic (doesn't care about self) + pathetic (doesn't care about others) = "sorry people". My teacher in Computer Science once gave the class a 45-minute lecture on that, what pathetic and apathetic meant, how they both applied to us, and how that made us "stupid sorry people who don't know nothin' ".
