It's in Spanish with English subtitles. The plot is about an elderly doctor who trained a number of young doctors to go out and provide medical services to poor rural areas. He discovers that many of the young doctors went to Native villages and were killed by the army. On the way he meets up with a half Native half "blanco" boy, a disgraced priest who preached liberation theology, and a deserter from the army comming to terms with his attrocities.

I tried to find it on IMDB, but without a title I came up with nothing.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it's set in Mexico.

What a terrible title - makes it sound like a generic action movie.

Thanks. That sounds like it. I hope to add it to my video collection in the near future.

Have you seen "The Mission" with Robert De Nero? If you like that spanish movie you might like "The Mission" and also "1492 Conquest for Paradise".

I've seen both, and I loved both. The Mission was better IMHO, but Depardeu was great as Christopher Columbus in 1492.
