Drinking is one of the most Christian things you can do.

1) Jesus turned water into wine. If he disapproved of drinking he would have left it alone.

2) At the last supper Jesus passed a cup of wine around.

3) Jesus used vineyards in his stories.

Jesus obviously was in favor of drinking. He was a wine drinker, but if he had access to modern spirits and good quality beers (not the crap they made back then) he might have been known for turning water into a fine single malt instead.
