Merry Christmas, World!

I would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and hope that for now we can set aside our political differences and take joy in the fellowship of others and time spent with loved ones. I hope we can take the time to remember those who can't be home for the holidays because of war, illness or other situations and pray for those who need healing. This is not a thread for political or religious debate; I simply want to wish the best of the season to all who will accept it. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!

---> Please note that this thread is simply a channel for sending holiday greetings. It doesn't matter which holiday you celebrate (if any) as long as you use this thread to send greetings or share positive holiday stories and wishes.

I find this post offensive, claiming religious ambivalence while wishing everyone greetings toward a strickly christian holiday. You should be more culturally sensitive and wish everyone a secular happy holiday (so as not to offend the non christians)!!

If you take offense to "Merry Christmas" you should not have clicked on the link. This thread is strictly for greetings and nothing else. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.

I saw nothing that suggest that any other holiday was not as worthy? They were simply wishing a happy Christmas.. someone's come and wished a happy Chunakah [sp?], so I'm sure you can wish whatever holiday you want to as well.

I just hope people can remember what happened on the western front on December 25th 1914 =3

I'm glad you mentioned this... it is definately a story worth sharing and is a wonderful example of "good will toward men". Here's a link to the story: http://history1900s.about.com/od/1910s/a/christmastruce_p.htm

Wow!

I had never heard that story before. Now why hasn't someone made that into a movie? Brought tears to my eyes.

Don't respond then! No one forced you to click on this thread, so don't complain. Honestly, I'm agnostic and I don't give a fuck what people say because I know their intentions when they say "Merry Christmas".

Oh, and a merry Christmas to everyone.

I saw that and I couldn' help but include it because it amazes me.
