I just thought, in the bible dosen't it say that God created all animals in one day? So dosn't the idea that he's continually tinkering with animals and their evolution go against that?

Not if you think that God exists outside the boundaries of the human definitions of time and space.

um, not really. just because he made them in one day, there's no reason he couldn't have built in some sort of system of adaptation for them so they could continually evolve to survive and prosper in a changing world.

but, to be fair, the bible also says jesus walked on water. take it with a grain of salt.
