So what is it? Because I guessed Greek as well, using roman orthography. And what are the 7 languages you know how to read and speak? So we can quiz you...if we happen to speak one of them:D

It's the Sogdian variant of an obscure Greco-Bactrian dialect with an influx of Macedonian. Spoken around 150 BC.
Haha.

spanish?
Esperanto, right?
Oh, shit, I got confused. IT'S GREEK, of course.
Curious - all the matches in Google are Greek pages, and yet Altavista Greek to English translation can't understand it. It's not some sort of crazy Greek pig-Latin, is it?

All I found was an exact match for the title in some Thracian pages ( http://members.tripod.com/~Groznijat/thrac/)...which appears to be an ancient language somewhat related to Greek...at least, they keep saying it's Hellenic. I wish this guy would quit playing coy and have a damn point instead of just popping some words up and running off.

Interesting. Having thread the text of various pages matching some of the words through the translator, it appears the language is related to standard Greek (some of the words are translated into vague sentences). The word Xairetismata seems to be used a lot in signatures - the phrases 'Pollo [many] Xairetismata' and even the partially-English 'Love and Xairetismata' appear.

*slips you a $20 and puts a finger to his lips*
Thracian is extinct. It was probably never a single language.
What you probably got was something from the Greek region of Thrace.

Yes, but you're KILLING US HERE! TELL!

So a dialect of Greek?
So a dialect of Greek?
Not necessarily a dialect. I think it's just Greek.
Thracian language(s) was/were probably very little like Greek.

Ean kapoios to katalaveni as mou steili ta xairetismata !From my limited knowledge of (ancient) Greek, olous may be a form of the adjective equivalent to ancient Greek holos, "whole"; katalaveni may be a form of the verb equivalent to ancient Greek katalambanein, "to seize" (from kata, "down," + lambanein, "to seize"); mou means "my"; and xairetismata may mean "things to take pleasure in" (equivalent to ancient Greek chairein, "to take pleasure in," + –êtos, the verbal suffix that verb takes, + -ismata, plural of -isma, abstract noun suffix). However, any or all of the information I've just provided could be wrong, so take it with a grain of salt :-)
