Super Cars

Haaaahahahahaahaha, I'm not talkin' about supercars like Enzos and Carrera GTs, I'm talkin' 'bout cars owned by super heroes.

Lay it out, what is the superest super car in your estimation?

Black Beauty (http://www.the-black-beauty.com/green-hornet-slideshow.cfm), driven by The Green Hornet.

Batmobile (http://www.hickswithsticks.com/Photos/M_F2004-1/VLV2004-1/CarsVLV2004-1/Batmobile.jpg). We all know who drives this. There are several versions of this, so if you chose it you'll have to specify. Failure to specify will indicate that you like the one with the broken wheel that let the Joker get away, thus invalidating your choice.

K.I.T.T. (http://www.oz.net/~coilgun/kitt_car/images/kitt_animated.gif) driven by Micheal Knight, a lone crusader.

James Bond's car (http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/135000/images/_139512_lotus_espirit_300.jpg). Again, he had a lot of cars so you have to be specific or we'll be left to assume you mean this one. (http://www.geocities.com/ultimatejbwebsite/2cv.jpg) And we will laugh. Oh yes, there will be laughing.

The Saint's Volvo (http://www.saint.org/images/roger1800.jpg). I don't know if it did anything special, just thought I would include it.

FAB-1 (http://www.geocities.com/perry_peterson_1999/ford--.jpg), driven by Parker on behalf of Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward.

What about Dick Dastardly's Mean Machine (http://www.wingnuttoons.com/wakydast.jpg)? Ok, so DD's not really a super hero, but then, nor is Lady Penelope or The Saint.

Oh, and FAB-1 wasn't driven by Lady Penelope, it was driven by Parker. Lady P just owned it.

Any James Bond car. He always has what he needs. The one that he could drive remotely from Tomorrow Never Dies was very cool though.

Good call, though I would argue that both the Saint and Lady Penelope are above the norm enough to be super hero-ish at least.

I'm sure there are a ton of special cars that I forgot. The Saint's the only one I included that I didn't think had special powers, and its inclusion is problematic because it opens the door to Magnum and Crockett's Ferraris and the General Lee, though maybe the General Lee does qualify because it did seem to have special powers...

Corrected because that was an embarrassing error.

If I were going with a James Bond car (which incidentally, I'm not), it would be any of the buggers, except for that f*cking stupid invisible one. Complete and utter bollocks. In one single (cack-)handed swoop, it turned Bond's cars into a laughing stock.

I have to confess that I couldn't remember the name of the car and was getting impatient so I went with the first image I came up with with the search "Thunderbirds car," I'm a fan of the series (though without TechTV I can't watch the reruns anymore) but I never watched the movie. If it's not marianettes...

I either never saw it or have scared over it to protect my psyche. Damn...

Why? Perfectly sound tech theory. Of course until nanocomputers become mainstream we won't have the computing power to do it. But it's perfectly possible in theory.

AAaaahhhh, I didn't actually see that one. I wanted to because it had an Aston Martin in again, too. Dodged a bullet it seems. Thanks for the heads up ;)

Did you, perhaps, detect a theme-something that the cars listed shared that the Bugatti doesn't have in common with the cars on the list? Think hard, it might be subtle. You can use the opening post for clues...

Hehe, I likes it. Perhaps that's for another poll-theme cars where the Magnum and Crocket Ferraris can go with the Robin, Mrs. Peel's Lotus, and Bullitt's GT390. But I have a limit of one ridiculous poll every two days that I have to hold myself to...

Do me a favor, dude. Aside from catching up, could you keep the pictures as links so the thread doesn't become a pain in the butt to scroll through? It just drags the whole deal.

only 3 were ever made, and we only publicly know where one is, and its in millions of parts.

I've seen it (not in person, I live in the states). Kinda cool (probably again, becuase I don't see them everywhere because I live in the states, so it's totally novel). I also have a thing for three wheel cars for some reason. Those ones where they really just strap a front end on a motorcycle, don't know why, just dig it. I used to play a lot of Car Wars when I was a kid, maybe that was it.

SWEET F'N CRAP!!! I forgot The Interceptor (http://www.back2themax.com/gallery/carsstunts/B2TMLightMeJohnny.JPG) from Mad Max 1/2. Shame, shame on me...

Bonus points to you, sir and/or madame, for the Tick reference.
