the democrats might have a point about bush's credibility if they hadn't also believed saddam was a threat. every democrat was worried about saddams desire to get wmd until the man who beat al gore in 2000 said we should do something about him.

These kinds of things are typical of the democratic party. They'll support one thing, but if it goes halfway wrong they'll break away from the Republicans and blame everything on them. They act as if they never had anything to do with what went wrong.

President Bush's credibility, while flawed, is nowhere near nonexistant compared to that of the democratic party as a whole.

If the Democrats had any credibility, though, Bush wouldn't be able to blame everything that's wrong in America on Clinton though, would he?

Al Gore has nothing to do with whether Bush is credible or not. Bush's blunders stand on their own merit, unless he did them to show off over Gore.

Who says they believed? It was all politics, Democrats were afraid of seeming anti-American or unpatriotic if they voted against Bush's efforts like the invasion of Iraq and the Patriot Act. Anyone should have been able to see through Bush's innacuracies and hedging but no one had a spine to go against him.

Why should we believe any politician?

For example, John Kerry says our soldiers are over there to terrorize Iraqi families. It looks like we're not doing a good job of it:

Not all Democrats were in favor of the war. One of the few who's always been against it, although he's been more low-profile and behind the scenes, is one of my senators, Carl Levin.

For a thread to appear and jump on any issue that would given them the smallest bit of creedance for their failed ploicy of defeat !

The question is why the troops are there in the first place and what they really achieved there.
And the future? It will go just as it went in Germany: first they bring candy then they bring their nuclear arsenal.
