I'd just like to let you guys in on something.

I've been incredibly interested in the United Nations recently, and what makes it work, why it's not working in some areas, and just how it can better improve the international community. I've also be intriqued by the different things going on in the world and how people respond. So I've done some intensive research and learned quite a bit. A servey was taken, and I don't know if it is correct, but it said that it is assumed 85% of the people of today don't know really anything about the United Nations or at least what it is comprised of or what it's main functions are.

So, I've made forums of my own and I know we at NationStates have some sort of interest in this area, and have our own opinions. So now I invite you to register at the forums for free. The Forums will serve essentially 3 purposes.

1) United Nations discussion. The Forums include the entire U.N. charter and some helpful places to look for information to learn all about the United Nations. The Forums will be a place we can discuss what can be done about the United Nations, and give your ideas of what they could do to improve one area or another.

2) World Discussion. The Forums have an area specific for discussion of world events, culture, weather, etc etc. I think we'd all like to have a place where we can share our thoughts about what's going on around us

3) Language friendly. A pretty nice feature is the Language specific forums. Only the designated language can be spoken in that forum. However, you may also speek your own language in the U.N. or World Discussion areas as long as you designate it as a specific language or post in language specific threads that apply to the language you use.

I really think it is worth the try to check these Forums out. The Forums are pretty brand new, so things will change, but I'm sure you all would be pleased.

If you just don't think you have the time to join the Forums, at least put this on your websites or Forums:

I didn't really find anything against double-posting or bumping, so I think i'll just go ahead and do it! haha.

I've improved the forums to a point that I think you would all like them very much. I still have yet to find any forums with the same theme as this one. I think it'd be nice to be able to talk about the United Nations and come up with some ideas.

Check it out!

P.S. Like I said before, if You don't have the time or what not to participate in the Forums, then I simply ask you put this in your Forums or on a website:

Sorry for posting once again.

The Forum has moved to a new location for technical reasons.

This is the new url: http://s15.invisionfree.com/UnitedNations_Forums/index.php?act=idx

I've updated it on the other posts. I just felt the need to post this for those that have checked it out and try to go to the other one.
