ACKNOWLEDGING the right of every nation to vote in the NS General Election. We realise that there is no word written in the voting guidlines about puppet voting, we ask that there be a sentence inserted into this guide prohibiting puppet voting. We feel it undermines the democratic system, and that it should be banned in the interests of our system. We ask that the punishments mean that the votes are deducted from the parties final count, or there be a recount.

Finally: a debate! Good ol' NS Conservatives

Let's have one man, one vote, and public polls so we can see if puppet states have voted.

Typical Conservative, not wanting women voting. :-)

as an ex-MP (haha) i can say aridd and myself have discussed this issue quite extensively, and also on our forums... in principle i totally agree, but how you enforce such a 'guideline' or rule in practice seems almost impossible (especially on the internet) without either massive help from the mods (who won't give it it seems), or linking to a seperate website for people to vote on (where it accepts one vote per IP, making puppet/dual voting at least more difficult)

voted yay tho - yay for the principle, practicality to be worked out later :)

Under the common law "one man one vote" is interpreted as applying to both men and women :p

One thing that helps is making the vote public so you can see who voted and claimed themselves as "MP" really ARE MPs... which is something you didnt do with this thread, I see. Sigh, yall never learn...

I did vote yea, but. Eh

Down with democracy: it gives the people a false impression of freedom!

An MP is the inverse of a PM.

If we're going to prevent puppet voting in the next election, then we need Melkor. ;)

As both an MP in the NS Conservative Party and a regional UN Delegate, I vote "YEA" and I again thank Blu-tac for all his hard work!

Seconded. I'm voting yes on principle, but in practice it's already been discussed, and it's all but impossible to implement.

[Edit:] Or rather, I would have voted Yea, had the poll not been closed. Sorry about that; I was away over the whole Christmas period.
