A) For some inexplicable reason, all human life is about to be destroyed. Fortunately, you, that shining example of the human race that you are, have been selected to carry on the human race in the only automated underground city that was built in time. It consists of hydroponic farms, state-of-the-art medical robots, a massive compendium of all human knowledge stored on a supercomputer, and basically all of the other necessities you would ever require. The catch is, you must choose two people to join you. Isolation is not an option, as you three will be the only humans left, and the doors to the surface world will open only in 500 years time, when the power source of the "city" runs out and its equipment ceases to function, and the threat outside has been eliminated...so you will need to reproduce to carry on the human race. One of these people must be male, and the other female. Who do you choose? (Bearing in mind, of course, that if you pick your significant other, you will have to be okay with them sleeping with eachother...). Who would you be able to comfortably spend an entire lifetime in an enclosed space with? (bear this in mind when considering bringing an attractive celebrity along....you don't really know them.)

B) If you picked your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend as one of your companions in the first example, let's try again...let's assume that they didn't survive what is happening to the human race and you have to pick someone else in their place.

C) Let's try it again, but you can only pick two NSers, male and female. :D

I'll just Tag this for now.

I honestly don't know who. Maybe Sinuhue and Pure Metal. Sinuhue because she seems to be a pretty nice person, and Pure Metal because I wouldn't have to worry about being stuck with someone who put bad music on the stereo. I think any scenario like this would be very awkward.

Which is why I reiterate my initial response to this scenario: The human species would be doomed.

I'd still pick somebody who's super smart (but nice). It would be best, in the interest of humanity, for two out of the three survivors to be very intelligent (me being the odd one out).

My vote, if i understand this correctly ...

Because i haven't taken tally of the females here, and i think i can figure out who the males are ....
I would go with Willamena and Gymoor II:The Return.
Basically because they're both extremely wise and i think we aren't likely to fight much with each other over most issues that i imagine would come up if you had to start a civilisation of sorts.
I could be wrong.
I also haven't seen pix, but oh well, as long as everything works where it's supposed to, i guess. ;)

A) Monica, my friend from way back who I haven't talked to in quite some time unfortunately. Not only is she great to be around, but she can cook, clean and roll a joint like nobody's business. Male? I'll get back to you on that.

B) Well, she and I never had sex... technically, so I won't count her as a girlfriend.

C) Cabra West and whichever NSer male would like to volunteer.

I would pick a female who was close to my age and a male who was about five years old or less. Then I'd have the female all to myself, and by the time the kid got old enough to procreate, I would have several eligible daughters for him to choose from, thus minimizing the whole inbreeding problem.

Another highly implausible situation. I think a population of only three survivors would doom the species to extinction from inbreeding if nothing else. But for the sake of the game...

It wouldn't matter how careful you were with who reproduced with who, as within 5 generations everyone would be so closely related they would be completely unable to produce a non-defective child.

I'd pick two fun people and chalk it up to the human race being screwed.
