New Bigfoot footage

Posted about bigfoot a few times on NS. I found this site awhile back while researching an area that I climb every year. Here is some interesting footage. It is obvious that whatever it is the footage is clear. Be your own judge. But I believe that I could duplicate this footage with a friend in a Bigfoot outfit. The footage is far to short and there are no comments from the filmer which I find odd. I think my first reaction would be to say WTF? But I guess that's just me. Anyway enjoy, comment as you will....

I call BS, what you say about the lack of comment is spot on I think.

It looks like someone in a big suit, but then, I'd probably say that everytime until someone catches it and tells me that it's not.

Zoom in all the way then don't focus and cut the film. Fake.

I noticed the motion of the arm swinging didn't match the rhythm of the gait; it was as though the man in the big suit was having trouble remembering to swing his arms for the camera.

That's what get for smoking the fatty before you start filming.

I've never seen possible sasquatch footage before. However, if believers proclaim this to be probably real then those people need a dose of anti-gullability. Crap camerawork + no apparent reason for filming + what looks like someone having difficulty in a hot, heavy suit on a warm day in tall grass =/= cost of the film it's made on.

Yeah noticed that too. Sonoma isn't far from the famous humbolt county. Know for it's high potency weed.

You know that didn't dawn on me right away. But I think the mystery has been solved.

Also want to point out that a bigfoot would be an intelligent animal if real. I know from hunting that large game animals are very aware of the surroundings. This guy made alot of noise walking through the brush. Now wouldn't most animals stop and take a look if that type of noise were heard? Maybe it's a deaf blind Bigfoot? That's why it didn't stop and look at him.

I was going to write a defence here, but then thought, "Why in the hell would he have the auto-focus off?"

And that's an open field, why does the film stop there, why not continue to watch Bigfoot walk out of the clearing?

Too much.

SEE! That proves it. Bigfoots...er...Bigfeet...are SO cleverly elusive that the only ones people see are impaired in some way. The deaf and feeble as well as the occasional Bigfoot soused on scavenged Heineken.*

Actually, what kind of beer would Bigfoot drink? Should I start a poll?

Bigfoot wouldn't drink beer per se, but probably routinely gets smashed on discarded, semi-fermented fruit juice tetrapaks found along jogging and cycle paths. That being said, my vote goes for Tornade, a berry-and-beer spritzer from Quebec. Bigfoot would eat berries, he'd want a berry-ish beer.

Actually there is:
The hiker/cameraman, Mark Nelson (from Ventura County), was hiking up a trail off Skaggs Springs Road (see topozone map - click here) in the mountains of northern Sonoma County when he noticed this figure moving away from him. He had his camcorder in his bag. He pulled it out and ran toward where the figure stepped off the road.

Mark was looking around trying to figure out where it went when he saw it down below him on the hill. The figure moves to the left at first, then squats down trying to hide in the grass. It gets up and moves to the right, toward thicker brush and trees. Mark tries to zoom in but looses focus just before the figure is out of view.
Not that any of that answers any of the other challenges put forth.

I hate to say it, but probably the existence of bigfoot will probably be disputed until someone shoots one and brings the corpse back. (If there is a bigfoot that is).

One of the reasons why I carry a 9mm with hollowpoints anytime I climb. That off chance to be world famous. Although my luck I would shoot some dumbass in a costume. I wonder if a jury would find me guilty of manslaughter for that?

See, and this is the thing for me. We hunted the Grizzly out of Califronia, we've had to relocate mountain lions because their habitats can't support them anymore and have thined wolf packs-but somehow a nine-foot tall primate hasn't had so much as a dead body show up? How? Makes buying the whole bigfoot think a bit difficult.

I'd acquit you. Anyone walking around the wilderness in a big monkey suit is just asking for it in my opinion.

Yeah, I am not going to come out and say that I am completely certain that bigfoot doesn't exist, because I don't know that 100%, and there is some circumstantial evidence (maybe). Also a new large mammal is discovered once in a while. In other words, it's not impossible.

But the lack of bodies is pretty compelling.

I'd love for bigfoot to exist, it'd be exciting to find out there was something like that around. But, given the state of development of California and the effect that it's had on animals we know are here, in addition to the hunting and the fact that the Northern California population is notoriusly 'outdoorsy,' the idea that a primate that big still hasn't shown up reliably just doesn't seem to hold. Especially with the increase in people carrying camera on thier phones and digital cameras and such. People whip out a camera now as a matter of relfex.

As cool as I think it would be, I just can't see this as possible.

There's a bigfoot museum down the street from my house and I like going there and hearing the guy talk and show me the Patterson footage frame by frame (apparently, it's a she and she has a hernia) to bolster up. When I'm there I kinda let myself believe, but by the time I get home I'm already back to realizing that as cool as it would be (especially since I live, apparently, in prime bigfoot territory) it's just not likely.

Just give me one month with a 12 gauge shotgun and the Washington wildlife. I will produce a body. :mp5:

Horseshit.

This is a few people who had nothing better to do.
Its an obvious rip-off of the classic footage taken in California, in the 60's.
You can tell that these guys studied the way the original footage shows the "creature", walking swinging both arms, and taking long bending strides.

It was most certainly NOT me getting surprised awake in the morning by two wandering assholes, after a night of tequilla shots with the Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabra, Santa Claus, and Jesus.

If only it were real. There's very little chance though, that bigfoot exists. With the amount of hiking that goes on in northern California, there would be much more reliable sightings and pictures. Also, a question that's never asked is: where are all the bigfoot bones? Like any other animal, sasquatches would presumably get old and die and then leave their skeletons behind, which would be found by some hiker taking a piss behind some tree somewhere.

Now, perhaps there is some large, undiscovered mammal out in some sparsely populated place like the northern reaches of Canada. However, in a place as heavily populated as northern California, it's extremely doubtful that we would have missed anything that big.

In more gun-totin' parts of the country, one would have been shot and the body recovered by now.

Now, if a Sasquatch was captured/killed, that would be huge news.

A few of us asked about bigfoot remains on the first page.

And, since I know where you are...hehe...do this, it is totally worth it. Get on Hwy 9 towards Felton and all that (if you follow River out of town towards Hwy 1 it turns into 9) once you get into Felton on the left hand side there is a building with a bigfoot statue. It's a museum for bigfoot. That guy is quality. It's totally worth the trip. He'll take you frame by frame through the Patterson footage, show you this computer analysis of bigfoot's gait (with hands down the worst explination as to why they walk that way). All that and the largest collection of Harry and the Hendersons shit anywhere.

Ok, going to play devil's advocate here. Now I was told that the reason they don't find Bigfoot bones is because they must go off and die like bears do. Apparently it is rare to find bear bones. However they are a known species and there are alot in many places. Bigfoot being a species with apparent small numbers lends to the thinking that the bones either have not been found. Other hand that the bones have been found and were misclassified.
The reason for no recent shootings would be because it is against the law to carry a firearm into a national forest/park. I would say that 95%+ of the hiking and climbing areas are in national forests/parks of some type. So these are some of the reasons that I have heard.

I like the fact that this guy obviously didn't have anyhting to film... he was just out there... in the dull field, filming the scenery... Maybe he was shooting Manos: The Hands of Fate II, and suddenly, that monkey came by... Who knows?

The truth is out there.................................
