I just have a virus question. I'm assuming its a virus, because I will hit cntr alt del and it wont come up. Does anyone know what this is? It slows down my comp a real truckload too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I've seen this before. Your computer has been inhabited by the devil. I suggest an exorscism immediately.

(I have no idea, but im sure if you put this post in the technical forum you'd get more help.

you should describe the symptoms better. Much malicious software does not show up on the task manager.

My money is on adware.

Have you tried the standards? (Adaware, spybot, free virus scans)?

One thing you should do is back up your registy monthly. I keep it in a special file and then lable each file by month. It can be a liefsaver - but is not a failsafe.

Well if you haven't done so already, run a virus scan. If you don't have an up to date virus scanner you can use microsoft's beta scanner at http://safety.live.com

Also try running adaware and spybot search and destroy.

Geeks To Go.com is a great place to go if you have an infected computer. Go to their Malware forums and you'll find great help.

Pft! Amature. Try having 47 different viruses with over 700 files infected, with spyware and adware on top of that and still being able to get Windows to run (I took a day and a half to start [even longer to shut down], but it would still run:) .

My advice for you. Firefox, Spybot: Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware, and all the updates for Windows.
