Suggestions Needed: Gun-Fight Movies
I actually have an ulterior motive for asking this. I'm making a music video showcasing the greatest gun-fight scenes from various movies. I've already got a few ideas.
The Matrix 1-3
Equilibrium
Underworld
Obviously these aren't the only good gun movies, what are some others?
Thanks in advance!

#1 Last Man Standing (Bruce Willis)... a remake of
#2 Fist Full of Dollars (Clint Eastwood) ... a remake of Yojimbo - (Toshiro Mfume)
#3 Any Sergio Leone/Clint Eastwood "Spaghetti Western"
#4 Unforgiven (Clint again)
#5 Bulletproof Monk - (Chao Yun Fat)
#6 Raiders of the Lost Ark - Scimitar Boy scene :p
More later, after I've given others a chance....

I can't believe I never considered that! Thanks!

Once Upon a Time in The West also has some pretty good scenes if memory serves.
(Also, Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi isn't that bad either[/i]

Commando- Arnie kills 67 bad guys (actually there are only about 5 extras, they just keep getting killed in different comstumes) One has to appreciate the tongue in cheek humour that film has. The final 10 mins are a great explosive brain dead laugh. :D
Air Stewerdess: Sir, please you must remain seated!
Arnie: I'm airsick.
[Plane is still on runway]
Desperado has a good gun battle or two in it. The bar scene is good enough.
Scarface- the ''say allo to ma leetle frend'' scene.
Heat.

In keeping with that theme:
Pulp Fiction - Bruce Willis taking out John Travolta on the can...
Kuffs - Christian Slater caps the Ugly guy with the MP5
Die Hard (pick) - but the (Ruger?) taped between bare shoulder-blades is good for effect.

To be honest, I'd prefer them to be...non-ridiculous.
But Desperado, DEFINATELY!

Magnificent Seven (remake of Seven Samarai)
Hang 'em High (Eastwood again)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (esp. ending scenes)
Rio Bravo
High Noon
Heat.
Is that the 1920's Period peice with Clint Eastwood & Burt Reynolds? If so, Priceless. :D
Edit: I think that was "City Heat"...

The outdoors gunfight? That's pretty nifty.

Are you only using movies? Putting some video games, like Devil May Cry 3 or something would be pretty kick-ass as well.

True Lies (some crazy crap starts going down after they get captured. Especially the Uzi falling down the stairs and wasting half the bad guys.)

Try
El Mariachi, the original low-budget film which led to 'Once upon a time in Mexico'.
Also:
The three Amigos.
Jefe: "Ju wanna die with a maaaaan's gun. Not a little ceecee gun....":sniper:
*****
German guy: Nobody is zat fast.
Ned Nederlander: I am that fast!

I'll see what I can do. I haven't had much luck taking footage from a console to my computer.

Oh yeah, and for the truly psychotic shoot outs:
Killing Zoe
ANd for the truly ridiculous:
Rambo III
(Whilst facing an entire Soviet batallion)
Soviet (on a loud speaker): Thees ees the Soviet Army. You cannot escape.
Colonel: What do you say, Rambo.
Rambo: I say F*#@ 'em!
Possibly the best worst moment in Hollywood history.

Did we get Scarface yet?
If you really want to do somthing wild, watch Yojimbo, Fist Full of Dollars and Last Man Standing back-to-back-to-back... or better yet, all at once on DVR in PIP.
Anyway, Willis's attack on the Irish Gang's HQ with a pair of 1911's is brilliant. Not only that, he actually reloads on semi-realistic intervals.
Edit: Oh, and just for fun:
The Big Hit - Marky Mark Wahlberg, intro sequence in particular
Mr & Mrs Smith (though I haven't seen it yet...)

Resevoir Dogs.
Thanks guys. I've got plenty to work with now. Don't want too many, I've got rental money to worry about. :D
Thanks again!

Try some of John Woo's early stuff, especially movies like "A Better Tomorrow" or "Hard Boiled" ("The Killer" is overrated)
A really obvious choice would be Michael Mann's "Heat" the central gun battle rules!
"The Replacement Killers" is quite a bit of fun too.
But for absolutely insane gunplay, you can't go past a little Thai film called "Tears of the Black Tiger"
It's a Noodle (East?)Western. Featuring colts, magnums, semi-automatics, ak-47s, m-16s and Bazookas and including some of the craziest gun fights you've ever seen! Beware of the ultra-garish colours and random singing.

Predator.
Resident Evil (both).
Ali G Indahouse movie (okay, it's a comical one, but still, the gunfight from the opening scene it's moderately decent plus funny).
