The spelling! The spelling . . . it, it burns! Oh Lord of Mercy, the agony!
AAAAAIIIIEEEEE!!!!!
*leaps out window*

Now that the Spelling Nazi is out of the way, yeah, good stuff. If they can make it on their own, maybe Sony will be cowed enough to think twice before acting on whatever the impulse du jour happned to be in the future.

Sony released audio cd's that installed a "rootkit" virus that imbeds itself in your os and spy's on you

This has been a BIG deal latly with groups all over the world suing them cause this virus has caused a fair bit of damage

A rootkit is a collection of tools (programs) that enable administrator-level access to a computer or computer network. Typically, a hacker installs a rootkit on a computer after first obtaining user-level access, either by exploiting a known vulnerability or cracking a password. Once the rootkit is installed, it allows the attacker to mask intrusion and gain root or privileged access to the computer and, possibly, other machines on the network.

I agree ... and it should ... hence all the lawsuits

As far as other legal consequences I would love for them to be subject to them but this is kind of a grey area in the law

Y'know, that'd be enough to make me buy a MMJ CD...if it weren't for the fact they're shite. But respect to them, I hope other artists on Sony follow suit, or leave the label altogether.

Good for them, i've got an album of theirs (not the new one) and it a very very decent album IMHO. all recorded in a grain silo in the middle of the country side. Makes for some great sound effects.
